GIL GEORGE

ORMHOF Class of 2007

The off-road world has lost another icon, ORMHOF partner, Funco Motorsports founder, and Class of 2007 inductee, Gilmon 'Gil' George. George founded Funco, the 'Fun Company' in 1968. The company has grown to become the recognized leader in the Sand Car industry.

Gil George's sons and grandsons will continue at Funco in the family tradition of building exceptional off-road vehicles innovated for fun. A wonderful legacy indeed.

Join host Charlene Bower live from the Hall of Fame 2019 Induction & Awards Ceremony presented by 4 Wheel Parts

Charlene is a well deserved two-time Hall of Fame Impact Award recipient. Founder of Bower Media and Ladies Offroad Network, Charlene is also a BFGoodrich Tires Performance Team Member and a certified trainer through the International 4-Wheel Drive Trainers' Association.

A successful competitor and the only female member of the Arizona Undertakers 4x4 club, Charlene earned the title of "Fastest Girl Up Backdoor" at the 2014 King of the Hammers Backdoor Shootout. With different contest winners in her co-driver seat in 2015, her team took 2nd in RallyVenture and in 2016, they placed 1st in the Rebelle Rally and 2nd in the Pro Class at 36 Hours of Uwharrie .

Recently Charlene has been focusing on her passion to share her knowledge and love for off-road through her Ladies Offroad Network, guiding, educating, and motivating other women. She just returned from a 94 day Trail Training Tour, hosting educational events at 4 Wheel Parts locations in 38 states, racking up 17,396 miles behind the wheel of her Ladies Offroad Network motor home. Charlene will be back on the road after the Induction Ceremony, with more than a dozen Trail Training Classes scheduled in November at locations in California. Details at ladiesoffroadnetwork.com.

Ashley & Brittany are travel bloggers that love road trips and finding unique artifacts on the road. Natives of Chicago, Illinois, Ashley and Brittany both went to Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona and graduated with a b.s. in Human Communications and b.f.a. in fine art photography respectively.

Ashley always dreamed of working for Jeep, and while in school was presented with her dream job, to travel as a product specialist at auto shows world wide.

After graduation, Brittany moved to NYC. Brittany worked for at network news agency in the graphics department, but was always most interested in the human element of the story. For a brief moment, she had wings as a regional flight attendant! She reads voraciously, about all things blogging and social media. She joined Ashley, moved back out west, and they started working together, learning from each other and from entrepreneurs and creatives who were so generous to share their candid successes in business and in life with them.

In 2014 Ashley and Brittany took the plunge to work on their blog, thejeepgirls.com full time and they haven’t looked back since.
