The Humanist Hub, in partnership with HCHAA (the Harvard Community of Humanists, Atheists, and Agnostics) is delighted to present our 2018 Outstanding Lifetime Achievement Award in Cultural Humanism to Steven Pinker. ( Tickets here!)

Steven Pinker is an experimental psychologist who conducts research in visual cognition, psycholinguistics, and social relations. Currently Johnstone Professor of Psychology at Harvard, he has also taught at Stanford and MIT. He has won numerous prizes for his research, his teaching, and his books, including T he Language Instinct, How the Mind Works, The Blank Slate, The Better Angels of Our Nature, The Sense of Style and  Enlightenment Now: The Case for Reason, Science, Humanism, and Progress.

Pinker's fellow noted humanist Hub Advisory Board member Daniel Dennett had this to say: "Facts, real facts, speak for themselves, but in today's world, they are often drowned out by propaganda or fall on ears deafened by post-modernism. Steven Pinker has been an international leader in showing us the fact that demonstrate that goodness depends on us, not on any god. Thank goodness for Steve Pinker."
