Inspired by the children of Israel wandering in the wilderness for 40 years and Jesus fasting in the desert for 40 days, Lent is a 40-ish day season of reflection, repentance, and reconciliation. Our Lenten series this year is “This We Believe: learning and living the sacred creeds of the church.” Each Sunday, we are exploring one of the creeds housed in the United Methodist Book of worship. Last Sunday, we explored Creed 886: “The World Methodist Social Affirmation”. This Sunday we explore Creed 884: “A Statement of Faith of the Korean Methodist Church.” Creeds help us have faithful Christian confession, familial Christian community, and fruitful Christian character. As we worship, may God help us learn the creed so that we can live the creed. May Christ help us learn the creed so that we can better love God, neighbor, and self. May the Spirit impart the creeds into our hearts, minds, and souls. Come, let us worship.

Easter Sunrise Service

50th Sunrise Service Hosted by central Phoenix United Methodists 

For the 50th year, central Phoenix United Methodists host an Easter Sunrise Service for the metro-Phoenix community. It's at 6 a.m., Sunday, April 20th at Steele Indian School Park, two blocks north of Indian School Road off of Central Avenue. The hour-long service is at the park's Neighborhood Mound. Cross Roads has supported Desert Mission Food Bank for years in order to be able to provide our community with the basic needs they deserve.

Below is a list of the donations that are acceptable. All donations should be unopened, labeled and in its original packaging. Heart-healthy foods that are low in sodium and fat are encouraged.
