Not a single day goes by that the media is not uncovering systemic and epidemic sexual exploitation of children, adolescents and vulnerable adults: Clergy. Business Leaders. Politicians. Coaches. Medical Professionals. Public Icons. Tragically, we are seeing that this phenomenon is not only a cultural and systemic toxin, but also as a deep shadow rooted in dominative, violent processes and the fruit of poisonous pedagogy. Day by day this grows more disturbing as each new layer is peeled back.
Trauma-Informed Ethics in Action invites participants into a deeply important and often overlooked conversation: how we respond—ethically, compassionately, and responsibly—to individuals who have experienced sexual abuse and exploitation by clergy and others in positions of power. This seminar moves beyond theory to explore practical, trauma-informed approaches that center dignity, safety, and empowerment.
Participants will gain insight into the complex dynamics of power, betrayal, dominant processes and institutional harm, while learning how ethical frameworks can be applied in real-world interactions. Whether you work in ministry, counseling, advocacy, or community support, this session offers essential tools to engage survivors with sensitivity, accountability, and care.
Join us for a thoughtful and impactful discussion that challenges assumptions, deepens understanding, and equips you to respond with integrity in spaces where trust has been broken—and healing is possible.
