November 16, 2020
Do you remember two weeks ago? It was the day before the election. Does it feel like a lifetime ago? How many lifetimes have we lived during the pandemic? And what does our future hold?
Thank you to all the members who participated in the 2020 ACPE Election! 740 (40.6%) of 1821 electors voted in this ballot. The election results have been reviewed by ACPE Chair-Elect/Leadership Development Chair Shawn Mai  and ACPE Secretary/Treasurer Linda Wilkerson
We want to extend a warm congratulations to the ACPE Certified Associate Educators and Certified Educators who passed their virtual sub-committee meetings

Weekly Highlights
This Week's Reflection
It seems we may have shifted from “unprecedented” as the word of the year to “uncertainty.” How shall we live in light of the times we find ourselves in, and what is the call to ACPE in this moment? Be the light. Share the light. Carry the light for those who can’t. The darkness will not overcome us. Let your light shine:

call it our craziness even,
call it anything.
it is the life thing in us
that will not let us die.
even in death's hand
we fold the fingers up
and call them greens and
grow on them,
we hum them and make music.
call it our wildness then,
we are lost from the field
of flowers, we become
a field of flowers.
call it our craziness
our wildness
call it our roots,
it is the light in us
it is the light of us
it is the light, call it
whatever you have to,
call it anything.

Lockdown dogs are a thing. And while many folks thought it was a bad idea, it seems that it has been a mixed idea: some good, some bah, some not so good. Here’s what a few folks shared recently about their canine experiences:

This Week on the Calendar
November 22

Feast Day Qawl (Bahá’í)

The Baha’i calendar has nineteen months, all named after attributes of God. Qawl is the Arabic word for speech. The word "feast" suggests that a large meal will be served, but that is not necessary for a Bahá'í Feast. The use of the term "feast," in this case, means that the community should enjoy a "spiritual feast" of worship, fellowship and unity – although refreshments are usually available.
