It was an absolute joy to see so many families on campus for AYAlways Mishpacha Lag O'Bomer Community Carnival in honor of Early Childhood Program director Jordana Bernstein's 27 years of service!

The greater Dallas Jewish community proved #AYAlwaysTogether is more than a social media hashtag by so enthusiastically embracing this wonderful time in support of Jewish education at Akiba Yavneh Academy.

Our deepest gratitude to all who made this celebration a success!

There is still time to participate in our annual fundraiser by adding your name to this growing list of generous donors. Also, our incredibly popular "Pave Jordana's Way" brick campaign continues until June 15!
Stay tuned for more photos from the community carnival and Wednesday evening's Leadership Donor event!
Match point, Jordan!
Once a Bulldog, always a Bulldog? For Jordan Schildcrout, YES! The AYA Bulldogs senior signed with the Butler University Bulldogs to play Division 1 Tennis in the Big East Conference. Coach Zimmerman was joined by Jordan's parents and classmates in celebrating her achievement.
The signing kicked off Tuesday night's High School Sports Banquet. Congratulations to seniors Noah Ohayon and Jordyn Behr who received the 2021-22 Reece Parker and Jenna Sasson Athlete of the Year awards. We are so proud of all of our amazing High School student athletes!
Suiting Up for the Fight

AYA parent David Waks brought his gear to our Early Childhood Program on Wednesday to talk about his job as a firefighter. Mr. Waks β€” father of Jordan (Class of '36) and Samantha ('38) β€” even brought some friends from Dallas Fire Rescue in a real fire engine! There is no better way for our students to learn about fire safety than from the experts. Just in time for Lag B’Omer too!
Unified Branding Initiative
Board of Trustees President Laura Burstein writes: "As the year is beginning to wind down, I want to let you know about an exciting project we will be working on over summer and to solicit your participation! In an effort to unify Akiba and Yavneh into our AYA brand, we are creating a unification task force to work on branding initiatives such as school swag, mascot, spirit wear, and sports uniforms. Watch for emails over the next few weeks and throughout the summer to sign up to participate in focus groups and other activities to help us launch the 2022-23 school year in August with a fresh look. We have so many things to be proud of here at AYA and we are excited to take these next steps for the school! In the meantime, if you would like to share any ideas or are interested in being involved in the process, please reach out to me (email)."
