Weekly Torah insight for your Shabbat table:
K-8 Judaic Studies Principal Rabbi Chanania Engelsman reflects on Hanukkah and striving to fulfill our mitzvot at the highest level.
Yesh Bie Ahava!
Our Middle and Lower School students learned "Yesh Bie Ahava (I Am Filled with Love)" and created this delightful music video with the help of the Ronis — our Bnot Sherut. The song is about unconditional love like that modeled for us by Rachel Imenu. The students sign this Arik Einstein song in Israeli sign language (ISL) to spread love and encourage looking beyond our differences.
AYA Community Havdalah
Our AYA Community Havdalah was led by Rabbi Sabo with music from our Lower School students, Sarit Sabo, and Rabbi Nachshoni. The Marble Falls Faith Christian Academy basketball team were our special guests who got to experience a Havdalah service for the first time followed by a spirited game against the Bulldogs in Schultz Family Gymnasium.
The last week before Winter Break has been filled with Hanukkah joy:
The Lower School carnival featured dreidel spinning, dancing, and treats.
Rabbi Gitler teaches our Lower School students how to make olive oil.
Nine teams competed in the High School Latke Wars!
The Makerspace Crafting Club completed projects for the Hanukkah season.
