Melanie Weiner, we'll talk about Praying with Scripture, Lectio Divina.  Come and learn about the powerful experience of Lectio Divina, as we reflect upon what the Divine might be speaking to us through sacred scripture. We meet in the Fireside Room after church. Please get some coffee and come right in.

LENTEN PRAYER AND MEDITATION SERIES   Understanding and Practicing Petitionary Prayer. Perhaps one of the most familiar acts of prayer is petitionary prayer - where we make known our supplications and ask God to intervene in positive and loving ways in the lives of those we are praying for. Join us in the Sanctuary at 11:30 a.m..

                           UPCOMING EVENTS

SPRING CLEAN-UP 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., SATURDAY, APRIL 6, 2019. Once again, the Property Management Board will be holding its Annual Spring Church Clean-up Day to make our 105 year-old building(s) sparkle for Easter. We can use lots of help from oldsters and youngsters and we hope many of you will volunteer. Sign up on the list in the courtyard, or just come on down with your rags, paper towels, rubber gloves, etc. and stay as long as you can. Our plan is to: polish door knobs, wash windows, wash the floor of the Sanctuary and more. Healthy snacks will be provided! For more details please contact Dee Cunningham: dbbdbb901@gmail.com or Katy Waugh at  katy@tkwaugh.com .

                             ANNOUNCEMENTS

CHURCH SCHOOL TEACHER NEEDED. We are in need of a temporary church school teacher to lead our elementary school class for a few months. This involves telling a Bible story with curriculum provided and supervising the children's response to the story. You will have an aide. This is a paid position. Contact Rev. Melanie Weiner.

COME JOIN OUR SOUND TEAM!   Laurel Anderson, Nikki Hensley, John Reimann and John Lathrop are looking for another team member.  We rotate Sundays. About one Sunday a month, you would operate the Sound System control panel.  That involves pushing buttons at the right time, and twisting knobs to Ride the Gain for each speaking person, so that they're loud enough to be understood but not too loud.  We train you along a very gentle learning curve. If you would like to contribute to the church in this interesting and engaging way, talk to anyone in our group.

     ONGOING PROGRAMS

JOYFUL NOISE HANDBELL CHOIR. I f you've ever thought about ringing with the bell choir, now would be a good time to stand up and be counted! You don't need to know anything about bells. Short-term commitments (a month at a time) welcome! If you're interested, talk with Gretchen or Fred. The bell choir rehearses most Wednesdays from 6:00until 7.30 in the meeting room.

FOOTHILLS' CHOIR NEEDS YOU!  Can't attend Wednesday rehearsals? Don't read music? Sing with the easy choir! Just show up at 9:15 a.m. on the first Sunday of the month in the sanctuary.

TRUTHSEEKERS  meets on Thursdays 11:00 a.m.-12:15 p.m.. through Lent and Easter. We will read and discuss Marcus Borg's Jesus: Uncovering the Life, Teachings, and Relevance of a Religious Revolutionary.  Borg will show us Jesus as a person who teaches transformation, a new way to live and be rather than a new doctrine to believe, and guide us to understand Jesus' relevance in the ancient world and today.  All are welcome.
