ESTIMATE OF GIVING CARDS FOR OUR STEWARDSHIP CAMPAIGN  can be dropped off Sunday in the box in the courtyard or emailed or mailed in.   We need to receive your Estimate of Giving cards by November 18.  The cards let us know how much you estimate you will donate to the church in 2019, so that the Finance and Outreach Boards can prepare the 2019 budget.  In addition to estimating how much you can give to operating expenses we also ask you to estimate how much you plan to give to the Wider Ministries
(often called outreach).  The church's Outreach Board needs this figure so they can determine how much we can give to various worthy charities in our community.  Thank you!
From Johannes A. Gaertner:   To speak gratitude is courteous and pleasant, to enact gratitude is generous and noble, but to live gratitude is to touch Heaven.

BELLS OF PEACE REMEMBRANCE. This Sunday is the hundredth anniversary of the end of World War I.  We will commemorate this day and honor veterans by participating in Bells of Peace: A World War I Remembrance.  People across the country will ring bells at 11:00 a.m. local time in an act of remembrance.  We will invite veterans who are in church on Sunday to join the bell choir after the postlude to toll a 21-bell salute.  We hope you will join us.

CHILDREN'S PROGRAM AND MUSIC.  Children and youth age 3 through 12th grade are invited to join their parents for the first part of worship and gather in the front of the Sanctuary for Children's time. TRUTH SEEKERS Our current study is  Countering Pharaoh's Production-Consumption Society Today.   Walter Brueggemann describes it as "a journey from slavery to covenant that we keep making over and over again...[because] Pharaoh has immense powers always to draw us back into slavery."  It will be interesting to talk about the way our consumerist society affects us as we head into preparing for Christmas. All are welcome. Thursday mornings 11:00 a.m.-12:15 p.m.
