WITH THE NEIGHBORS IN NEED OFFERING, Foothills expresses a commitment to justice and compassion throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. One third of this offering supports the work of the Council for American Indian Ministry, particularly for the twenty American Indian congregations in the UCC. Two thirds of the offering support direct grants to congregations, either to address issues of injustice on the local, regional, national, or international level, or to address issues of hunger and poverty. All Neighbors in Need grant recipients must reflect the UCC's vision: a church of Jesus Christ that is multi-racial, multi-cultural, open and affirming, and accessible to all. Please give generously to help support these goals.

YOUTH FELLOWSHIP  meets from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. each Sunday. All youth in 6th -12th grades are encouraged to join in for conversation, games and snacks. Friends are welcome. Talk to Rev. Melanie Weiner.

JOYFUL NOISE HANDBELL CHOIR I f you've ever thought about ringing with the bell choir, now would be a good time to stand up and be counted! You don't need to know anything about bells. Short-term commitments (a month at a time) welcome! If you're interested, talk with Gretchen or Fred. The bell choir rehearses most Wednesdays from 6:00 p.m.- 7:30 the meeting room.

LADIES' BRUNCH meets the third Monday of each month at Rick's CafĂ© on State Street. Our next topic isWhat was the most memorable meal you have ever had? Talk to Sandra Overton for questions.

FOOTHILLS CHOIR NEEDS YOU! To all the singers who don't read music, have plans Wednesday evenings or prefer to 'show up and sing'. We in the Easy Choir are looking for you! We meet in the Sanctuary at 9:15 am every 1st Sunday of the month. Want to sing more often? The Chancel Choir rehearses Wednesday evenings in the sanctuary. Fred Cummins can help with rehearsal schedule and answer any questions.

TRUTH SEEKERS will continue to discuss Jesus as a man whose culture and worldview were shaped by the Aramaic language.  Aramaic is a Semitic language closely related to Hebrew and Arabic, and it was the language spoken by the common people in Judea including Jesus and his followers.  We will study two books,  The Hidden Gospel: Decoding the Spiritual Message of the Aramaic Jesus and Murder at Armageddon: A Judas Thomas Mystery.  These books can be ordered from Amazon or local bookstores.
