CHILDREN'S PROGRAM CONTINUES SUNDAY Children and youth age 3 through 12th grade are invited to join their parents for the first part of worship and gather in the front of the Sanctuary for Children's time. Children and youth will then leave with their teachers for their age-based groups in the Learning Center. The program will end at 11:15 a.m.
BRIAN MARTIN, FAMILY SUPPORTIVE HOUSING  board president is here with us Sunday.  He will answer your questions after worship in the Parish Community Hall.
ELEMENTARY CHOIR SEASON CONTINUES SUNDAY Foothills' Elementary Choir is for kids from Kindergarten through 6th grade who enjoy singing!  Director Kristin Burns teaches music reading and singing skills through a variety of songs, games, and exercises.  Rehearsal and performance material is carefully selected to provide a well-rounded repertoire which promotes the Elementary Choir's goals of learning, fun, and sharing the joy of singing together within our Christian community.  Elementary Choir sings for the congregation three times a year, all decked  out in their beautiful blue robes. Elementary Choir rehearses on Sundays from 11:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. in the Choir Room through May 19. No reading ability or prior musical experience is necessary to join.  Tell your friends and neighbors: Elementary Choir is open to all!  Contact Kristin at  to sign up or learn more.

MEDIEVAL PEOPLE SPREAD THE FAME OF JOHN THE BAPTIST a Forum by Ann Jones is 11:30 a.m., next Sunday, Sept. 23 in the Parish Community Hall. Saint John the Baptist was included in medieval literature, song, and art; and many sites were named after him. John the Baptist was also the patron saint of many guilds and towns.  We'll look at some of these examples and talk about the great importance of John the Baptist in medieval times.  
IRVING BERLIN'S AMERICA.  Stephen Gill and friends are back at 7:30 p.m., on Friday, October 5, at Foothills.Irving Berlin's America is a one-hour bio-musical about the life, times and music of Irving Berlin. Beginning with his first hit, Alexander's Ragtime Band, in 1911, Berlin's enormous contribution to the Great American Songbook over the next 60 years is narrated and sung with gusto and verve! Short-term commitments (a month at a time) welcome! If you're interested, talk with PL or Fred. The bell choir rehearses most Wednesdays from 6 p.m. until 7.30 p.m. in the meeting room.
