Summer is here! And with it comes Vacation Bible School, which we can't do without all the help and support given in various ways!

There are a ton of opportunities to help with VBS:

• Saturday, June 20 at 10:00 a.m., we will decorate the sanctuary and narthex.
• Decorating this year will include a lot of card board! So if you have any empty boxes, or extra cardboard laying around, we could use it!!
• And a number of volunteers during the week of VBS (June 22-24). Below are links to SignUps for the different things we will need for the week.

All are welcome to come help decorate, the more the merrier! Please contact Bre at bre@gilbertlutheran.org if you have any questions, or any cardboard/boxes you're willing to give for decorating.

+ blessing for ShyAnne (Brogden) & Mitchell Johnson. ShyAnne and Mitchell were married on Saturday.

+ blessing for Finn Andrew Schutt. Finn, the son of Andrew & Lindi and brother of Kai and Mara, was born on May 20.

+ blessing for Tammy Tinder. Tammy is retiring from her teaching career and will be serving those around her in new ways. Tammy taught for 31 years, 13 of them in the Gilbert Community School District.

+ comfort for the family and friends of Barbara Beyer Cook. Barbara, the sister of Mary Vannoy, passed away May 22nd. A celebration of life was held Friday at Faith Lutheran Church in Troy, MI.

+ comfort for the family and friends of Mary Seim. Mary, the aunt of Sharon Popp, passed away May 19th. A graveside service was held last Tuesday at Woodlawn Cemetery in Creston, IL.

+ healing for Cindy Kleeman. Cindy, the mother of Jenna Prusa, has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
