A SPECIAL VISIT

Tomorrow morning, Brian Scott, Senior Advisor for Congregational Engagement with Lutheran World Relief, will visit GLC. This is a perfect time as that is also one of our quilting days. Brian will tell us about the amazing work that Lutheran World Relief is doing. And, at the same time, we’ll be able to share some of the ways GLC is part of that mission and ministry. We'll begin at 9 o’clock and everyone is invited to attend!

GRACE NOTES AT GLC

Each Wednesday, GLC is “graced” with a wonderful group of friends sharing fellowship and music. The pictures below illustrate the grace, joy and love that they so freely share. It is such a blessing in the middle of our busyness. Thank you, Grace Notes. We love having you “grace” our presence at GLC!

EXTENDING GRACE - THIS SUNDAY

GLC’s Extending Grace group warmly invites anyone interested to attend their next meeting. It will take place this Sunday in the first Sunday school classroom, immediately following the church service.

The group plans on exploring Lent devotionals from the ELCA's Sumud network. “Sumud” is Arabic for “steadfastness” and is used to describe nonviolent resistance to occupation through advocacy, education, social work and faith-rooted presence. These brief devotions encourage world consideration and include input from staff and visitors of the ELCJHL (ELC of Jordan and the Holy Land). Click below for a pdf of the series.

If you would like a paper copy, there are several available in the church library (near other Extending Grace literature). These are also available on the ELCA website.

NO KIDDING?!

GLC’s young friends have a surprise awaiting them when they enter our sanctuary. Our children’s worship bags have been newly updated and refreshed. Each colorful bag contains storybooks, coloring and activity books, writing and coloring materials, quiet toys to keep busy hands occupied, and a stuffed furry friend to cuddle. We invite our youngest of GLCer’s to enjoy these during our worship services!
