LOAVES AND FISHES - OCTOBER 11

GLC will be volunteering at the Story City Food Pantry on Saturday, October 11. We are in need of 8 volunteers to help from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This is a wonderful opportunity to provide a much-needed service to our community.

Please use the link below to sign-up. Thank you!

CONGRATULATIONS, CHRIS!

Earlier this month, Chris Schmidt was honored as one of the Mary Greeley Medical Center's Volunteers of the Year.

A post on the Mary Greeley Facebook page had this to say: “For seven years, Chris has been a comforting presence at the hospice house – offering empathy, organizing meals, and crafting meaningful Life Stories for families.”

Well done, Chris. Thank you for sharing and being a blessing.

A THANK YOU FROM ADALYN

Adalyn Gauck was recently awarded a Les & Barb Licklider Scholarship renewal. Adalyn is the daughter of Darren & Kelly Gauck. She is attending the University of Northern Iowa. She is enrolled in the nursing program and participated in the school’s White Coat Ceremony earlier this month.

RESUMING ZOOM . . .

We know that a number of you have had trouble logging into our Zoom broadcasts. When our Sunday worship time changed in September and moved from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., we needed to alter our Zoom schedule. As a result, our weekly Meeting ID changed.

When you log in to Zoom on Sunday morning, please make sure that the Meeting ID you are using is 875 3664 3575. The old Meeting ID – 830 5981 5150 – is no longer active. Do not use this ID.

Thank you for your patience.

SOFT & COZY PLAYTIME

Our nursery has a new addition!  A beautiful and oh so soft and cozy rug for our littles to enjoy while they play has been donated to our church.  Thank you to Rose Houge for the gift and a big thanks to Rose and Kathy Hammer who spent time cleaning and organizing our nursery.    Check it out. . . or better yet, grab a young friend and enjoy a soft and cozy playtime together!

FOOD TRUCKS AND FUN

Mark your calendars for October 8th! From 5:00 to 7:30 p.m., GLC will host the 4th Annual Food Trucks and Fun night. In the next weeks, we’ll also be looking for volunteers to deliver door hanger invitations throughout our community.

THE LOST SHALL BE FOUND (HOPEFULLY)
