This past Sunday, the GLC Quartet sang at Bethany Life. We are so blessed by their music and we’re also grateful that Michael, Jeff, Jerry, Joel and Sharon share their gifts with our neighbors!

Our GLC Quilters meet on the first and third Wednesdays of each month from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. This month those weeks are the 2nd and the 15th.

All are invited to come and help and share your company and gifts!

GLC has two small group Bible Study opportunities!

One meets every Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. in the Shalom Room. If you'd like more information on this group, please reach out to Gene Upstill at 515-450-2419 (cell) or upstill@hotmail.com (email).

The other group meets on the first Tuesday of every month, with the exception of this month. We will meet next Tuesday, July 8th at 6:30 p.m. in the Shalom Room. This summer we have a couple of our graduated seniors who have answered a call and have chosen to serve the Lord and others. A couple of weeks ago, we got an "indirect Hello" from John Artz. This week we have one from a little closer to home. Taryn Hicks is sharing her heart for the Lord and her gifts at Riverside Lutheran Bible Camp. Here is a picture of her portraying Peter in the Riverside Mime and one of her worshipping with her campers after the Mime.

Each month, a group of GLCers serves as our Service Team. These friends help with Coffee, Community & Conversation on the second Sunday of their month and may be called on to help with special events and/or funerals. The Service Team is an extremely important and valued group! We are grateful for all of the ways they share their gifts.

SUMMER WORSHIP LEADERS

Hey parents! Your kids have amazing gifts and talents to share with our church! We know that they probably don’t receive the weekly email, so please talk to them, “recruit” them and ask them to serve as a reader, usher, communion assistant or provide special music for our Sunday services. Sunday schoolers, confirmation kids and high school students are more than welcome to participate! Just help them sign-up via SignUpGenius or have them reach out to Bre! And, remember, you can do this too :)

At VBS we were CAPTIVATED by God's Presence, God's Grace, and for Eternity. We learned that God is always with us and He loves us so much that he sent Jesus to forgive us on the cross. + comfort, peace and healing for Don Goode. Don, the father of Tammy Tinder, has pancreatic cancer. He had a drainage tube placed last week to alleviate symptoms and has re-entered hospice care.

+ healing for Chad Christian. Chad came home yesterday, following surgery on Friday in Des Moines to treat a pituitary tumor.

+ healing for Delayne Stokke. Delayne had cataract surgery last Thursday.
