Our GLC grounds are beautiful thanks to the efforts of many hands. Hands were busy mulching, raking, shoveling, weeding, trimming and picking up last Saturday. "Mulch Thanks" to all who had a "hand" in helping!

One more driver is needed this Saturday morning to help transport our LWR personal care kits and quilts to Des Moines. Contact Cindy Kruckenberg if you are able to help. 515-460-2518.

Our Easter Garden added much beauty to worship. Thank you again to all who honored or remembered loved ones with fragrant lilies and colorful hydrangeas. Please feel free to take these lovely plants home where they can enjoy the sunlight in God's beautiful world!

The packing event is this Friday, April 17th at Northminster Presbyterian Church. Volunteers are still needed to work 2 hour shifts between the hours of 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. to package 150,000 nutritious meals for Haiti’s children.

+ comfort for the family and friends of David Berryhill. David passed away on April 6. His funeral was held yesterday at GLC. An obituary may be found via this link.

+ healing for Don Darrington. Don, the step-father of David Nissen, will be having surgery to improve circulation in his legs.

+ healing for Laurie Gommel. Laurie, the sister-in-law of Sharon Popp, has been diagnosed with breast cancer. She is currently undergoing testing to determine the course of treatment.

+ healing for Marlys Hartman. Marlys is recovering from a fractured sternum.

+ healing for Grahm Prusa. Grahm is having oral surgery today at University of Iowa Health Care.

+ healing for Timothy Trpkosh. Timothy, the step-father of Katherine Kerns, had a major stroke on Friday, April 3. He is hospitalized at University of Iowa Health Care and was recently moved from the ICU to the neurological floor.
