Activity Day Schedule

9:10 a.m.     Fun Run (optional) for Grades 1-6
9:40 a.m. – 11:40 a.m.  Field Games:  Grades K-6 will enjoy a mix of new games and returning favorites, including Drip, Drip, Drop!
Lunch Times:
11:40 a.m.                  All Day K
11:55 a.m.                  Grades 1 & 2
12:10 p.m.                 Grades 3 & 4
12:25 p.m.                  Grades 5 & 6

12:15 p.m. -1:00 p.m. Music/Assembly
Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather, including sneakers or gym appropriate shoes. We encourage children to apply sunscreen at home or wear a hat and bring a water bottle. SUNSCREEN IS NOT AVAILABLE AT SCHOOL. No pets, please. Morning half-day kindergarten games will end at dismissal time, but you and your child are welcome to stay for lunch and music. We hope you can join us for this memorable day!

Can you help? 

We are in particular need of Grades K-2 parents to help run games. Without enough parent volunteers, we may have to cancel some of the games.   Sign up to help. Volunteers must arrive by 8:45 a.m. Siblings are welcome to tag along!

Gates End Of Year Night At West Side Creamery

Come join us in celebrating the end of the school year-- Gates 50th!-- at our neighbour West Side Creamery! They will be donating a portion of all the sales to the PTO to help fund all the enrichment programming, fun activities, and teaching assistants salaries that benefit the Gates students. There will be a special Gates sundae too!
Tropical Beach Day

The Student Council is sponsoring an upcoming spirit day on Thursday, June 13th. Everyone is invited to participate in Tropical Beach Day!
Hello from the Health Office!
 As we get closer to Summer, a few reminders for Summer Fun Safety.
  • Swim in designated areas, with a lifeguard present
  • Swim with a buddy, never alone, even if you are a very good swimmer
  • Do not swim during a storm or when there is lightning
  • When in a boat, wear a US Coast Guard approved life jacket
  • Massachusetts law requires anyone under 16 to wear a bike helmet while riding.
Also a reminder that  breakfast  and  lunch  will be served at the  High School Cafe  from 9-11:30 am,  June 24-August 2.

Then every time you shop, AmazonSmile donates 0.5% of your purchase price to the Gates PTO. Don't forget to bookmark the website
Box Tops for Education
The Box Tops for Education program is an easy way to earn cash for Gates school. Simply clip Box Tops on hundreds of products at your local grocery store and place them in the collection box outside of the Gates school office. For each one, Gates receives 10 cents and it really adds up.
"This Week at Gates" is distributed at the beginning of each week. If you have a submission you'd like to have included in the weekly email, please be sure to email it to the Gates PTO by noon on Wednesday.
