Thank You from PTO

Dear Gates Families,

As the 2018/19 school year comes to a close, we and the rest of the PTO Board members wanted to thank you for everything you have donated throughout the year! You gave your time, contributed with your talents, and of course with funds. This year we made 78% of the fundraising goal.Together we raised $34,072 for the Gates school!

The funds collected through fundraising events helped pay for various items throughout the school year. They helped contribute to salaries for teaching assistants, paid for enrichment programs like the Ruby Bridges and Valerie Tutson visits, an author visit from Andrea Davis Pinkney, playground equipment, filed trip support, landscaping for the school, other enrichment events like Cultural Showcase, Spelling Bee, and many other community events and initiatives to name a few things!

Did you know that $25,000.00 of the funds raised contributed to salaries for teaching assistants at the school? Because of this contribution, we were able to provide extra teaching hours for the Gates students.

Want to help us close out the year closer to our goal? You can send in a direct donation check to the Gates PTO through the school by Monday 6/17, or donations can be made anytime through PayPal on our website  . We hope to close out the year as close to budget as possible and hope next year will be just as fabulous!

Thank you all again and we are looking forward to the 2019/20 school year!
