Celebrating Reading Gives You Superpowers week.
Gates School is celebrating Reading Gives You Superpowers Week, presented by Scholastic and Dav Pilkey, and we have a few fun events in store. On Thursday, March 28th , students are invited to dress up as their favorite hero from literature. Not all heroes wear capes! Think of your favorite heroic character from your favorite stories to dress up as. This does NOT need to be a classic superhero.
Author Visit in Friday

The Gates PTO is bringing author Andrea Davis Pinkney to Gates this Friday, March 29! We are asking children to wear red, a favorite color of Ms. Pinkney's, on that day.

If you missed the deadline to order books, Silver Unicorn will have a few extras in the store for purchase. You may also send in a book from home, or one you've ordered from another store. Please send those books to the Sheila Magovern in the library, by WEDNESDAY, MARCH 27. Your child's name  must  be attached to the book, so we know who to send it home with after it has been signed.

Please email  with questions about the book signing or the visit.
Happy Shopping!

The Gates PTO is excited to announce a new fundraiser for the spring! We have partnered with Boon Supply and between now and April 13th Boon will give the Gates PTO 40% of the purchase. The website has some great products for gifts and some creative household products! With Easter, Mother’s Day, and End of Year Teacher gifts it's a great way to check items off your to-do list and help our school!

Please shop via the link or search for Gates PTO on the Boon Supply website .
Not Your Average Joe's waits for you every Tuesday

Every Tuesday during the month of March Gates families are invited to dine (or carry out) at Not Your Average Joe's and they will donate 15% of your total purchase to Gates School. The more Gates Elementary supporters who participate, the more money Not Your Average Joe's will donate!

What to help the school? Join PTO board!
