Don't Forget to Take a Mitten from the Giving Tree!

Each year we adopt families through the Acton Housing Authority as part of the Giving Tree (Mitten Tree) Project to help those in need during the holiday season.

If you would like to participate in this year's Giving Tree Project please select an item to purchase by clicking the signup link here . Then ask your child to select a mitten from one of the trees placed in each of the Gates School pods. The mittens have labels that should be filled out and attached to the gift once purchased. Please return the wrapped gifts with the mitten label attached and filled out to the donation boxes next to the Mitten Trees. We ask that all gifts be returned by Monday, December 11th .
Please let us know if you have questions or concerns.  Thanks in advance for your support and assistance!
Best regards,

Dances of the World at Gates

Dances of the World is a wonderful opportunity to showcase our multicultural community and will be held on February 2rd from 6:45-8:30 pm in the Gates Cafeteria. All families are invited to come and enjoy the various events representing art forms around the world depicting our rich diversity.

If you would you like to share a dance, musical number, a skit, or martial arts performance, etc. then please review the participation guidelines and sign up .

We are inviting 4th, 5th, or 6th graders to create a trifold of a country and culture. Whether it is your home country, your parents/grandparents country, or just a country you fell in love with. You can create it alone or with friends. Trifold details are available here .

Program Guidelines
  • There will be a $5 per person or $10 per family entry fee, the night of the program.
  • A sign-up sheet for food donation will be provided soon.
