The Gates Fun Run is Coming!

To give your child the best educational experience possible, we're raising funds for our school and we're hosting the Gates Fun Run to make this happen. Family and friends anywhere in the world can support our school by giving pledges toward the number of laps your student will run on the day of the Fun Run on 10/20/17. Our program will be kicking off with a pep rally on 10/11/17. Leading up to the Gates Fun Run, students will learn how to be brave and live with character through an educational character program called Castle Quest. You can help our school by following these four easy steps:

1. Register on on pep rally day 10/11/17.

2. Connect to sponsors-friends and family who can donate to help our school.

3. As you make your pledges, you will be able to pay for your pledge right on

4.Cheer on your child the day of the Gates Fun Run 10/20/17.

Be on the lookout for this Pledge Crown , more details are coming soon!

All District Fundraising Event - Helping People Affected By Natural Disasters

As a community of educators committed to providing students with opportunities to exhibit empathy and compassion for others, we are uniting to respond to the recent hurricanes. We hope our effort will provide comfort and refuge in the event of future catastrophes.

All the schools in the Acton-Boxborough Regional School District and administrative offices will have collection boxes accepting cash and checks made payable to American Red Cross. All donations will be combined and a check will be issued on behalf of the district to disaster relief. The Gates School will be collecting donations Monday, October 2, 2017- Tuesday, October 10, 2017.
Hello From the Health Office

State Mandated Health Screenings
The Gates school health office will be starting state mandated health screenings (vision, hearing, height, and weight) soon. These will continue through the Fall. Feel free to contact the school nurses with any questions or concerns.
Make a Plan
With the recent weather in Texas, Florida, and Puerto Rico, it's a good time to create or review preparedness plans for your family.  These should include plans for shelter, evacuation, and communication. For more information please go to the Make a Plan website.

Hoping everyone is settling in to the school routine.

Best wishes,
Diane and Tory
