Hello from the Health Office!

The CDC recommends the flu vaccine for everyone ages 6 months and older. The flu vaccine is one of the most important ways to protect against serious illness. The influenza disease can cause serious illness, doctors visits, missed work and school. The vaccine is created yearly based on surveillance data of the influenza strains seen globally. Because the vaccines are different, a new vaccination is needed each year.  Other ways to help prevent the spread of flu include good hand washing, staying at home when you are sick, and covering your nose and mouth when you cough and sneeze.

Please remember to alert safe arrival if your child is absent due to the flu.

Thank you!

CORI Information

As many of you may know, Acton-Boxborough volunteers and staff are on a three-year CORI calendar cycle. In January 2018, the district began the process of updating all volunteers and staff CORIs. Unless you completed your CORI in January 2018 or later, it is time to update your CORI to chaperone a field trip or to volunteer in the classroom.

If you have any questions about the status of your CORI feel free to check in with Louise Loblundo or call 978-266-2570.
