On behalf of the Stewardship Committee, THANK YOU to all the hands that went into making the year’s Stewardship Luncheon happen!
Stewardship is a year round commitment, as we are all stewards and caregivers for our congregation and our church. It is the time of year when priorities are set and when budgets have to be finalized and presented. At Lakewood, this information is presented at a meal where questions can be asked and answered.
This past week, the many ministries that worked together on this luncheon made us think about how our ministries are named. While they are each separate ministries, they compliment each other: Worship, Outreach, Congregational Care, Family Life, Christian Education, Buildings and Grounds, and Administration and Finance. Their very names tell you what we value as a Congregation.
You will be receiving your letter and pledge card in the mail very soon. We hope that you will look at the four main areas on our to-do list for this coming year. With each one giving as you are able, we will meet our needs, keep our physical campus maintained, and continue to share the Love of God with each other and with the greater community.
Again, THANK YOU,
The Stewardship Committee
