This Week and More at St. Timothy
Outreach Calls
In an effort to reach out to our parishioners during this time apart, we have assembled a team of volunteers to make phone calls to everyone in the parish. They have already completed over 1,000 calls! If we do not reach you, look for a postcard in the mail. We miss you and cannot wait until we are able to attend Mass and other gatherings all together. If you have any questions, need for sacraments, family assistance or information, please call us at 813-968-1077, ext 207.

We hope you can join us. Please wear a mask and sanitize your hands upon arrival.

Did you know - after each Mass.....

  1. We are using sanitizing wipes on all wood surfaces to include the kneelers, Missal racks and the tops of the pews.
  2. We provide sanitizer wipes so you may wipe where you are sitting as well.
  3. All door edges, handles and touch surfaces are sanitized.

We live stream Sunday Masses at 9am and 5:30pm. You can watch live or later here.
Live Streaming Update
Beginning September 1, we will live stream 9am Mass on Tuesdays. Mother Teresa School is back in session and the students will attend Mass virtually. So can you! Tuesday will be the only day we will live stream daily Mass. We continue to live stream on Sundays at 9am and 5:30pm.

St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store
12310 N. Nebraska Ave. Tampa
Come on down and visit our newly reorganized store. We are open for business Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10am until 2pm. Lots of great finds at super prices. We accept cash and credit cards.

We will start accepting donations shortly after Labor Day. Watch for the exact date.

We are also looking for a few good men or women to help with donation processing and working in the store. Join your fellow St. Timothy parishioners. Contact Donna Shirah at svdpwhdshirah@gmail.com or Cindy Vinal at cmvinal914@gmail.com

The mission of the Thrift Store is to provide support to the homeless of the area and financially support the District food pantry.
Bible Study Meeting Online In September
Bible Study will commence again with our study of the Book of Isaiah on Tuesday, September 15th. Because of the Coronavirus, one way we will be conducting Bible Study is on-line using Zoom Video Conferencing. Anyone who wants to attend this style of Bible Study simply email Dan Holsen at dholsen@live.com and you will be sent the questions for the week’s study and an invitation code that will admit you into the Zoom meeting. We will provide more information, such as the syllabus, to respondents.

To sign up for Zoom, or ask questions about joining a simple non-Zoom self-paced study of Isaiah, please email Dan Holsen, dholsen@live.com or cell/text 813-482-1373.
Alpha is Now Available Online From
The Comfort and Safety of Your Home
Has the Pandemic left you or someone you know feeling isolated, alone, wondering what the meaning of life is? Alpha is now online, so you can participate from the comfort and safety of your home.

Each week we will watch a short video together that explores some of life’s biggest questions, then return to our groups to spend time discussing these different subjects. An Alpha online session lasts for up to 1.5 to 2 hours. During the discussion portion of the session, you can ask your group mates any questions you want. Your session host will ensure the discussion is confidential and ends on time. Alpha lasts 13 weeks including a Saturday Online Retreat in the middle. Sounds like a long time, but it’s not. Our guests look forward to joining Alpha week after week and many come back as Team Members for the following Alpha, because they just can’t get enough.

Our next session starts Thursday, September 17th. Alpha Team Members will be available September 5 and 6th after Mass to answer your questions and to register you for this free course that just may change your life! Unable to attend mass, no worries, check out our website: www.sainttims.org/alpha Or email Mary LaMacchia, Coordinator of St. Timothy Alpha at alpha@sainttims.org or mlamacchia@navaidtech.com or call 727-312-4054 (o)
Virtual Fun Run
With the pandemic’s disruptive effect on our lives and economy, numerous events are cancelled, including our Parish’s Fall Festival. We feel a virtual event the end of October will help our parish community “come together” to participate in a positive, healthy event. Our goal is to promote the concept that God is in control even in uncertain times, and our trust in Him will overcome any fear. Our tentative t-shirt design includes the theme, “Faith is greater than fear,” which we will share in the near future.

We’re looking for sponsors to help cover shirt expenses. If you’re interested in being a sponsor, please contact the Event Co-Chairmen: Roger Caruso, 813-767-0071, mrmrcaruso@msn.com or Deacon Glenn Smith, 813-968-1077, deaconsmith@sainttims.org. We really appreciate your consideration!
Wednesday Eucharistic Adoration
Eucharistic adoration will continue in the main sanctuary on Wednesdays. If you are able to commit to an hour from 9:30am-5:45pm one Wednesday or every Wednesday, please email Julie Pope by clicking here or calling her at 260-705-8222. We want to be sure there are at least two adorers always with our Lord.
Beware! There are scammers out there pretending to be Fr. Blum or other clergy members. Fr. Blum will not email you asking for a favor. Please ignore and delete these emails. If you are unsure, contact the parish office. Thank you.
