40 Days for Life
We are called to be a people of life and for life, respecting the dignity and sacredness of each and every human person from “womb to tomb”. Human life, from the very moment of conception, is a precious gift from God, and we have a solemn obligation to protect and defend it at every stage of development. In praying and working for an end to the evil of abortion, we need to be a voice for the voiceless and to defend and protect those who cannot defend and protect themselves. One of the ways we champion the cause for life is by participating in our annual 40 Days for Life. It begins September 23 and runs through November 1. This is a pro-life initiative that involves a time of prayer, sacrifice, and peaceful activity to raise awareness about the sacredness and dignity of human life. This initiative is an internationally recognized movement, and I am pleased our diocese and parish are active participants. This period spans the month of October, which is known as Respect Life month.

There will be a special Tampa kick-off event September 24. Please contact Sabrina at 813-246-6916 or sab@dosp.org for more information.
