Please Join the RAC/Kick Off
Thursday 8/6 @ 7:30pm

TRT is pleased to be supporting the Religious Action Center's newest statewide organizing project, RAC-NJ. RAC-NJ will enable us to work in concert with other congregations across the state to put our Jewish values into practice in this moment when we know that history is unfolding all around us. Please join us for RAC-NJ's official launch on Thursday August 6 @ 7:30pm via Zoom. Click here for the registration link - we would like to see our congregation well-represented!

The August 6 event will feature NJ Secretary of State Tahesha Way with an update on what lessons New Jersey has learned so far about voting in a pandemic, and how New Jersey is using those lessons to plan for November. Rev. Dr. Charles F. Boyer of Salvation and Social Justice will be speaking about racial justice in the Garden State. This is an opportunity to learn how your voice can help shape our RAC-NJ statewide strategy to address racial justice, pandemic response, voting rights, and more. We will also learn about opportunities to take action with Every Voice, Every Vote: The Reform Movement's 2020 Civic Engagement Campaign. Together, we can turn the urgency of the moment into lasting change.

Please click here for details or email Brion Feinberg here with any questions about this exciting program.
Volunteer to be a Zoom Host!
We are looking for additional volunteers to "host" our Friday night Zoom services. The responsibilities include - muting/unmuting participants, sharing documents with service participants, and starting and stopping the service recording. No prior hosting experience needed - we will train you in these tasks. You can volunteer to host as many or as few services as you like! If you are interested in helping, please email Juli Blumenthal, Volunteer Growth Committee chairperson here!
Spotlight on TRT's
Special Program Funds!
There are many times in our lives when we want to share our simchas, honor the memory of a loved one, and/or acknowledge someone special.  A great way to show the love is by making a tax-free donation to one of TRT's special program funds. Each week in this column we will highlight a different program fund with the hope that you will feel inspired to support those who will benefit from the fund. This week's spotlight is on the Herzog Music Fund.

The Herzog Music Fund is named in honor of Richard Herzog, who served as TRT's High Holiday and Shabbat volunteer cantorial soloist for many years. It provides funding for many musical needs of the congregation, including sheet music and songbooks; CDs for the cantor, music teacher, and the adult and children's choirs; scripts and supplies for the annual Purim Schpiel; and repairing musical instruments for congregational use.

To donate to this fund, please click here.
