A church member who prefers to remain unnamed felt God's Spirit leading them to write down these words of encouragement for all of us at Trinity Church. May you be blessed and inspired by them.
Yes, God has led you.

In 2020, Trinity Church of Northborough & the entire world have faced the unimaginable crisis over & over again. The year burst into being with devastating natural disasters, human pain, loss, crisis of identity, sickness, death, violence, extreme racism, prejudice, political debacles: a country dividing, nations rising fists raised, and a world disintegrating at the hands of humankind. As a body of people, you have set your hearts & minds on facing these challenges head on, physically, emotionally & spiritually in your prayer and worship. God has led you to be helpers, healers, fixers, fighters, protectors, prayer warriors, and faithful in your worship and commitment to fulfill your churches mission which is to fill its people with the love of God and share God's love in all the world.

Yes, God has led you and as the body of Christ, you have not faltered in your desire to bring God’s love to those who face adversity; even as “adversity” seems to be an ongoing theme. Rising hate with associated crimes have plagued your towns & cities. Prejudice & Racism once at an ever present & painful simmer now has violently & mercilessly come to a raging boil. God’s heart cries.

Yes, God has led you as you face a world pandemic, COVID 19 (also called the Coronavirus), as it has killed hundreds of thousands of God’s people, sickened millions and continues its silent yet potentially deadly journey around the world. You have been isolated from each other, and yet God continues to show you the means and the ways in which you can be a “light on the hill” together.
Yes, God has led you to stand as one body in Christ, each assigned specific & powerful gifts & callings. Some of you have stood alongside the oppressed, marginalized, and victimized and protested injustices while demanding change. You have fed the hungry, visited the sick, lonely, and isolated via phone and technological tools. You have sent and hand delivered food, gifts, messages of hope, joy, comfort & solidarity.

Yes, God has led you. Your children have been celebrated with parades of cars, filled…no exploding with spirit-filled love, happy hollers, smiling faces, balloons, whistles, and horns honking as the parade drove by their smiling faces, hearts full of belonging as they celebrated graduations, birthdays, and LGBTQ Pride Month!

Yes, God has led, and you have opened your minds and your imaginations while seeking ways to reach even further into your community and your world. Your worship services have moved outdoors at times and are broadcast across the country and even the world via technology! Yes, you have been so honored and blessed to worship God alongside your sisters & brothers in Christ afar. Only a faithful and loving God can make such goodness happen!

Yes, God has led you, and you have listened. You have opened your hearts and minds to see, embrace and embark on God’s plan for your country & all the people of the world. God blesses you individually, and as a congregation because you embraced your wall-less, door-less church and burst out to find and help the lost, hungry, sick, oppressed; and you kept loving one another with a fervent love that only comes from God, and though you are separated, you are connected. You did all this with God’s guidance and to God’s Magnificent Glory!

Yes, God has led you, and it is because you humble yourselves, bow your hearts, and open your mind to the plans and purpose of God for your lives individually, and your church, you have not only been able to continue your ministry of love, but you have been blessed and willed to grow your ministries even in the midst of so much loss, devastation, & uncertainty. You will thrive because of your faith and your generosity oftentimes in the face of your own want or need. God has blessed you.

Open your heart, quiet your mind, stand and believe that your GOD HAS LED YOU! God, YOUR God is loving, merciful, grace-filled, comforting, patient, forgiving, empowering and sees you all right now, exactly as you are! And yes, God has led you!

God will not leave you ever!

Call out in your quiet place, or loud for the world to hear “Lead Me Lord,” and then…

When you are weak, sick, afraid, helpless, in pain…reach out to Jesus and be led.

When you are angry, rage-filled, confused, or hate-filled… reach out to Jesus and be led.

When you are quiet, at peace, loving, and strong… reach out to Jesus and be led.

When you are worried, lost, hurt, crying, isolating, lonely… reach out to Jesus and be led.

This is how you will fight God’s battles! This is how you will continue because you are being led.
Volunteers needed for lawn mowing and snow removal!
Folks, we are looking to sign up volunteers to regularly mow the church lawn spring, summer and fall and shovel/snowblower snow in the winter. We also need people to for weeding. A number of our older volunteers can no longer help or have moved away. Please help out as it will save us the cost of having a service do this for us. Please let me know if you can help with these tasks. The mowing is flexible as to when it can be done but the snow removal needs to be done in the mornings and also during the day so folks can have access to the church. We have many groups that depend on being able to get into to the church when it is open.
