It is worthwhile to mention the weather when discussing residential real estate for large portions of the U.S. for February 2019, because this month has turned in some impressively cold, rainy and snowy days that have stalled some buying and selling actions. Nevertheless, housing markets have proven to be resilient despite predictions of a tougher year for the industry. It is still too early to say how the entire year will play out, but economic fundamentals remain positive.
18 Small New Jersey Towns Named Among 100 Safest In America
Dozens of North Jersey communities were named to SafeWise's list of 100 Safest Small Towns in America. The outlet looked at crime rates in municipalities with 2,500 to 15,000 residents New Jersey is top in the country for population density and has the second-highest number of safe small towns, the outlet said.

HUD Charges Facebook with Housing Discrimination
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is charging Facebook with discrimination over its online advertising program, saying the social networking giant “unlawfully discriminates based on race, color, national origin, religion, familial status, sex and disability by restricting who can view housing-related ads,” according to a press release filed by the agency today.
