Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a director on a movie or a Broadway play? I think that being able to translate a book or a screenplay onto the big screen would be such an interesting job!

Have you ever read a book, and tried to imagine which actor or actress would be the perfect fit for a character that you have read about? It takes a special talent to recreate the magic of a book onto the screen or into a play. You have to have a way of telling stories on the big screen, and have an eye for characters who are just the right fit.

This Sunday we are going to explore the parts that we have to play in God's great mission for the world. What part has God specifically designed you for? And what gifts and talents do you possess that can be used for the betterment of the church?

In this sermon series, we are looking at the things that excite us about church, and why your church home should be something you are passionate about. We are going to explore different ministries at the church to get connected with as well as help you find reasons to be passionate about your church. Our hope is that you explore your gifts, and find a place to grow and a place to serve as an important part of the Body of Christ!

Ladies' Bible Study

Tuesday Morning Ladies' Bible Study begins on August 23rd at 9:30-11am. We would love for you to join us!

We will be studying: “Pursued: God's Relentless Love for You” by Jennifer Cowart. This study is led by Ali Strand. To sign up, please email: Ali Strand

Through this study women will:

- See the big picture of God’s love for them throughout the Scriptures

- Discover that God wants a personal relationship with them

- Experience God’s relentless love for them individually

- Realize that God never stops pursuing them

Blessing of the Backpacks

This Sunday, August 14 at 9 am and 11 am

Please have your children bring their backpacks this Sunday, August 14th, so we can say a blessing over them. If you are a teacher or school staff member, please join us as we will also be praying a blessing over you!

All children will go into the Sanctuary with their parents. After the blessing, children are welcome to head to their Sunday school class. Kids in 2nd grade and under need a parent to go with them to sign them into class. Kids in 3rd grade and up can sign themselves in.

All ministries, missions, and fellowship groups are invited to participate by having a table at our 2nd annual Ministry Fair! If you are interested, please contact Pastor Jennifer at jennifer@faithumscpring.org. This is a fun event, and a great way for everyone to learn about how to get involved and plugged in @Faith UMC!

Interfaith Ministries For Greater Houston

Back-To-School Donation Drive For Refugee Services Program

This school year Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston is hosting a Back-to-School Donation Drive!

Help Interfaith support the families in their Refugee Services Programs by donating supplies for the 2022-2023 school year. They will be collecting supplies through this Monday, August 15.
