Dear friends and fellow disciples,

Well, Sunday was fun, wasn't it? I'm grateful to the Rev. Ashley-Anne Masters from the Presbyterian Campus Ministry in Raleigh for preaching, and to your Nominating Committee for the Associate Pastor for Youth and Their Families for its good work. Its chair is Ashley Messick, and she's joined by Anne Beckwith, Cameron Carrow, Katie Donoway, Molly Furman, Paul Garcia, Mark Hill, Shannon Wylie, and Jeff Young. O ffer them a word of gratitude when you see them!
It's Official, Folks!

Alex Stayer-Brewington has been named Westminster’s new Associate Pastor for Youth & Their Families , news that was received with much joy and unanimous approval at Sunday’s Congregational Meeting. We are grateful to Alex for his leadership and ministry with us over the past year, and we’re excited to have him join us a permanent member of our staff. Congratulations to Alex and to us, too!

Registration Deadline Approaching for Fall Women’s Retreat

Jesus’ command to love our neighbors was never meant to be limited to the folks who live next door or relegated to the church’s most recent mission trip. Join the women of Westminster for the  Fall Women’s Retreat on Saturday, September 28, 9:00am-3:00pm , at Chapel in the Pines Presbyterian Church. Local author and PC(USA) clergywoman Margot Starbuck will lead “Jesus-Style Neighbor Love: Practicing It Where You Live,” and help us unpack what it looks like to love well in our neighborhoods, at busy intersections, outside the DPAC, and at Target. We’ll talk, sing, pray, and enjoy one another as we discover what Jesus had in mind for neighbor-love in the Triangle. The cost is $45 per person.  Please register by Thursday, Sept. 26 .   You may register online now , or drop off your registration form and payment at the church office. Peggy Force is our Retreat Chair.  Contact : Diana Monroe
Church Office Closing Early on Friday

The church office will close at 12:00 noon on Friday, September 20 , as members of our administrative team enjoy some well-deserved time off.
I'm grateful for the cool breezes today, hopefully a glimpse of fall! We are all settling into routines and classes. If you haven't already done so, I challenge you to step back into Church School and regular worship attendance. These are key pieces in the life of faith - essential building blocks for discipleship. As our campus is in the midst of a building project, let's make sure we are doing the internal, spiritual work to match.

Blessings to you on that journey. I'm glad to be able to walk alongside you on it.
