Sunday Morning Connect
Sundays at 11:15am on Zoom
and in the Longfellow Room

Connect every Sunday morning at 11:15am, at our new hybrid event! "Sunday Morning Connect" is an opportunity for fellowship and connection, now available online via Zoom and in-person.

As we are beginning a new season of ministry, it's good to see one another's faces and hear one another's voices! Whether you are gathering for Sunday Morning Connect with a cup of coffee at home, or in-person (masked up!) in Hennepin Avenue UMC's Longfellow conference room – all are welcome to this hybrid event!

In-person attendees: You're invited to stop by the Longfellow conference room, following Traditional worship, to check in and catch up with your Hennepin friends. Our "Zoom crew" of virtual attendees will be visible on the large screen in the conference room for you to greet. Our equipment will also allow them to see and hear you as well! A volunteer will be there to help facilitate.

Virtual attendees: Similar to "Zoom Coffee Hour," you are invited to log on around 11:15am to check in with one another and say "hello" to any in-person attendees who visit the Longfellow room Sunday morning. The Zoom link and availability will remain the same, but now we are providing this opportunity to connect both online and in-person.

Your Baiwalla Student Sponsorships Gives Children a Chance at Prosperous Lives

Thanks Hennepin Avenue UMC! For the upcoming school year, you sponsored 189 students, an addition of 29 more students than last year! Your school fees help children attending school. Since Baiwalla families live on approximately $1000 per year, they often cannot afford school fees, therefore, their child doesn’t attend school that year! So your donation makes a huge difference! School starts on September 6 and the money got to Baiwalla just in time! Thanks again for your generosity.
Kick Off Sunday
September 12 8:30am-1pm

Fall Ministry is Kicking Off on Sunday, September 12th. Join us for worship and Hennepin Kids Sunday School and then stay for lunch and fun!

Boxed lunches will be available in the East Entry immediately after worship ($5 donation requested per lunch). Enjoy the inflatable in the Ministry House backyard, along with temporary tattoos and face painting.
In Carlson Hall, we will welcome photographer Michael Shoop to guide us through his amazing photography exhibit. Everyone can wrap up their morning with treats from Big Bell Ice Cream Truck!

We can't wait to kick off this fall season of ministry with you!

Staff Highlight: Jonathan Orwig

Please welcome Jonathan Orwig, our new Worship Production Assistant! This is a new and much needed position at Hennepin Avenue UMC. Jonathan is just the right man for the job!

He is flexible and yet extremely focused on doing a great job at all times.
