City Park Players presents: Almost Maine
Hearn Stage in the Kress Theatre
1102 3rd St. Alexandria, LA
April 16th-26th
Time: See "Tickets"
A Romantic Comedy by John Cariani
Welcome to Almost, Maine, a place that’s so far north, it’s almost not in the United States. It’s almost in Canada. And it’s not quite a town, because its residents never got around to getting organized. So it almost doesn’t exist. One cold, clear, winter night, as the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above, the residents of Almost, Maine, find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and hilarious ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. But the bruises heal, and the hearts mend—almost—in this delightful midwinter night’s dream.
Directed by De’Anna Abigail and Jared Guillory

Local State Legislator recognized for his advocacy and dedication to the Arts in Louisiana
The Louisiana Partnership for the Arts recently awarded Mike Johnson with the Art is Life-Legislator of the Year award in Baton Rouge.
"Honored to be named the 2025 Legislator of the Year by the Louisiana Partnership for the Arts. This incredible organization champions the artists, educators, and creative communities that make our state so vibrant.
For me, this isn’t just about policy—it’s personal. I saw the power of the arts through our daughter, Lacey. Her school’s art program didn’t just teach her technique—it unlocked a passion that led her to become a professional artist. Watching her grow into her talent showed me just how deeply the arts shape lives.
Grateful to support a mission that keeps Louisiana’s creative spirit thriving."
