The Arts Council is excited to present Dimensions Dance Theatre of Miami as the first event in our Performing Arts Series of 2022-2023!
Hailed by the New York Times as “...athletic, energetic”, Dimensions Dance Theatre of Miami (founded by former Miami City Ballet starring couple Jennifer Kronenberg & Carlos Guerra), debuts at the Coughlin-Saunders PAC with an exciting bouquet of audience favorites, including Gerald Arpino’s emotional gospel gem “Touch Me”, in honor of the 2022-23 Arpino Centennial Celebration, bravura filled show-stopper, “Adiemus” by Yanis Pikieris & David Palmer, and a special performance of Maurice Causey’s “Shotgun” by close DDTM friends, New Orleans Ballet Theatre
Dimensions Dance Theatre of Miami was founded in 2016 by former Miami City Ballet principal dancers Carlos Guerra and Jennifer Kronenberg. Carlos and Jennifer plan to offer audiences a fresh and diverse view of ballet through their direction of Dimensions Dance Theatre of Miami, exploring collaborative avenues that are distinct in their reflection of South Florida.
Drawing on 50+ years of cumulative experience working with many of today's most celebrated international choreographers and directors, the two will bring a unique & promising perspective to the procurement of new & existing balletic repertoire.
At Dimensions Dance Theatre of Miami, audiences can expect to see exciting, diverse, cutting edge works performed by world class artists who will keep viewers on the edge of their seats and demand to see more.

Designed to support artists of all disciplines who want to explore and expand their public art-making practice, the Making It Public series covers site analysis, stakeholder considerations, insurance, and more. Join Forecast consulting team member Candida Gonzalez and guest speakers.
In the fall, the Louisiana Division of the Arts, in partnership with the Atchafalaya National Heritage Area, will sponsor nine $10,000 public art opportunities throughout the state to organizations participating in the administrative track of the workshop. Artists are encouraged to take this workshop to strengthen applications to these forthcoming opportunities.

Creativity Launch Pad Classes
Alexandria Museum of Art
Launch your creativity in this on-going adult (21+) art education series for any and all skill levels seeking a relaxed creative environment in which to learn, receive instruction, experiment with mediums with other adults. Launch Pad classes offer a rotation of mediums to provide a well-rounded art experience, designed for the beginner, intermediate and advanced students. All supplies are included.
Classes meet on the first Tuesday of every month, 5:30-7:00 in the AMoA classroom.
