Apply Today to be a Gen One Advisory Board Leader. Applications are now open!

We would like to announce that our applications for the Generation One Network Advisory Board are open! The board is a team of students who promote first-generation and low-income identity across Brandeis by providing resources through hosting events such as dinners, faculty panels, the celebration of First Generation National Day, and special events with campus partners. We also plan community-building events such as outings, art/paint nights, and movie nights.

Please fill out this Google form application if you would like to join the board. The application deadline is Friday, January 19th, at 11:59 pm EST.

We hope everyone had a fantastic and restorative winter break! The Gen One Network invites you to our first event of the semester... The Welcome Back Dinner!

Come to eat good food while connecting with our amazing community members, students, staff, and faculty. This event is an opportunity to make long-lasting connections and learn more about the resources, and initiatives the Gen One Network will offer this semester.

The Welcome Dinner will take place on Friday, 1/19, from 5-7 p.m. Skyline Commons.

Fall 2023

Spotlight

Fall 2023 has been a remarkable year for the Gen One Community. We started the semester with a welcome dinner where students had the chance to interact with faculty members, have food, and get to know other first-generation students. As the semester progressed, we had many different kinds of events that received immense love, such as a bracelet and boba, kindness tabling, the FirstGen celebration Day, and ended the semester with a study break full of art and creativity. Our major takeaway from the Fall 2023 has been to be vocal and stay true to our Gen One Network founding principles.
