January 2, 2023
The ACPE office will reopen on Tuesday, January 3rd at 9:00 am eastern time.
Happy New Year, ACPE members and friends! The page turns from 2022 to 2023, and we are reminded once again of the passage of time, the gift of a vital mission we share, and the possibilities our transformational work brings.  This time in ACPE’s life attunes me to generative energy. Here is why I say that:

Survey and focus groups

We received great feedback through the survey and focus groups this fall.  Through the support of our LaPiana colleagues, the strategic planning committee has culled through the information and is working on a second survey to move us toward a deeper understanding of our strategic direction. This phase will also involve a second round of focus groups.
ACPE Board of Directors is pleased to announce ACPE Retired Educator Rev.Robin Brown-Haithco as Interim Executive Director, effective January 1, 2023.

Robin previously served as the director of staff support in the Pastoral Care Department at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. Before that, she was the director of chaplaincy and CPE at the Grady Health System. Within ACPE, Robin has served as a Certification Commissioner, Chair of the Professional Ethics Commission, and President of the ACPE Board of Directors.

On December 6th, the Accreditation Commission announced a new page in SharePoint that shares the great work that has been happening as the commission puts together its response to the US Department of Education’s recent re-recognition report. The page contains several areas that clarify what is now required of ACPE and the commission’s plans to address these items. The commission will continue to update this page as their work continues.
