In a world where fear and hate are used to maintain division, distance, and disparities in health, employment, and ownership of businesses and homes - what we need right now is love.
In a world where the sit-in, sit-out, and sit-down, as well as the stand-up, stand-for, and stand-with, have been repeatedly seen fighting the same war - what we need is a genuine transformation at the core.

We understand that this is a special time because of COVID-19. So in advance we wish to thank you for your time. We are hoping that you will contribute to a study aimed to better understand the role of healthcare chaplains in assisting with advance care planning and end of life discussions with patients and families.
The proposed study aims to describe ACP practices among board certified healthcare chaplains in order to inform policy and practice discussions on the role and standards for high quality ACP facilitated by chaplains.This study will the largest on-line survey with board certified healthcare chaplains in the U.S. on advance care planning and end of life care. As a healthcare chaplain, we'd appreciate your help by completing an
on-line survey. Your survey responses will help us to better understand the role of healthcare chaplains in advance care planning. The survey will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete, and your responses will be confidential.

What has been happening this week, has been happening this year, this decade, this century, this half-millenium. We all must put our shoulders to the task of stopping the wholesale slaughter of African American people.
In the short time since ACPE educators, chaplains, psychotherapists, and staff
named our grief and anger
over the murder of Ahmaud Arbery, we are faced with the deaths of Breonna Taylor and George Floyd as a result of police violence.

The 2020 volume of Reflective Practice: Formation and Supervision in Ministry
marks the fortieth anniversary of this unique journal, including its previous iteration as
the Journal of Supervision and Training in Ministry.
In this volume, an esteemed and diverse set of authors explore the implications for formation, supervision and theological education in general embedded in the new forms and models of ministry that are emerging among us. The volume begins with a smorgasbord of a few of the many new models of ministry, and of new forms of CPE in particular.
Section 2 explores how CPE might change, as its moves increasingly around the world and beyond its formative mainline Protestant culture? Section 3 explores the future of theological education in the seminaries, particularly in the United States. A rich collection of authors explores the themes, issues and challenges that is and will impact theological education in his or her religious tradition. Section 4 is a wonderful collection of essays from our colleagues in the Association for Theological Field Education, around the theme, "Excellence in Supervision." These five concise, up-to-date and readable essays can serve as a primer for the latest and best of thinking about supervision in a theological/clinical setting.
The volume ends with two ACPE Theory Paper of the Year Essays, ten book reviews on recent publications in our field, and a tribute to our ACPE colleague and friend, Peter Yuichi Clark.

We hope that this will assist students looking for CPE units this summer. As this information was provided to us by the centers, we suggest that prior to sending an application that you contact the center to confirm their plans for the summer unit. Before coming to ACPE, I taught a course in the theory and practices of nonviolence. It informs many of the values and commitments today's social movements. This day commemorates Saint Columba (521-597 AD), one of the twelve apostles of Ireland. He led evangelizing missions in Ireland and Scotland, and was credited, with the Celtic Church, for bringing a revival of Christianity to Western Europe after the fall of the Roman Empire.

Corpus Christi (Catholic Christianity)
Corpus Christi, or the Feast of the Most Holy Body of Christ, is a day to honor the Holy Eucharist, and to commemorate the Last Supper. Catholics receive Communion on this day, accepting wine and bread in memory of the blood and body of Christ.

All Saints Day (Orthodox Christianity)
All Saints Day is observed on the first Sunday after Pentecost. The feast of All Saints Sunday commemorates all the saints of the church who have remained anonymous. It falls the Sunday after Pentecost. Orthodox Christians pray to the saints for help of various kinds.
June 15
Apostles fast begins (Orthodox Christianity)
The Apostles fast lasts 14 days in 2020. The Holy Apostles Fasting duration varies every year. It begins on Monday following Sunday of all Saints and ends on June 29. It may last from zero days, if Pascha falls on May 3 or later to twenty nine days, if Pascha falls on April 4 to May 2.
