This Sunday, September 29, our worship will be focused on climate justice. Then after the service we’ll engage in an “Organizing/Advocacy Hour”, in solidarity with other UU congregations around the country. Please join us for conversations, worship and advocacy!
Weekly Vespers Invitation
As the national presidential election draws near, we invite you to join us for a weekly Vespers service on Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm. In this time of heightened anxiety about the election outcomes and the future of our country, we offer a peaceful and restorative space to lay those concerns aside.
Let this be a place of refuge—where we can center ourselves, breathe deeply, and reconnect with what truly matters. Together, we will sit in quiet reflection, creating space to release stress, find stillness, and embrace calm.
Whether you’re feeling the weight of the outside world or simply seeking a moment of rest, you are welcome. Come as you are, and find peace in the warmth of our community.

When we do a UU Common Read together, we share in reflection, learning, and action. A UU Common Read can take us on a powerful journey into what it means to be human and accountable in a world filled with both pain and joy.
This is a 4-week reflection series centered on the book Authentic Selves, that will create a covenant and will become a closed group after the second night. Please contact Rev. Christe if you wish to participate and have a date conflict. This class is open to everyone. Click here to register.
We will begin Thursday, Oct. 3 @ 6:30pm --- in the sanctuary.

New Membership Class
An introduction to UU class is scheduled for Saturday, October 5; 9:30-11:30am in the Social Hall at the Meetinghouse. This class is for those who are thinking about joining UUCFW or just want to learn more about our congregation and Unitarian Universalism. It covers UU history, our covenantal shared values, activities and membership expectations.
Attending the class is open to all and is not a commitment to join as a member, but all who wish to become members must attend an introduction class.
Please contact Evan Davis if you are interested, or use the Sign Up feature in the Church Center. Child care for this class is made available as needed.

From the Search Committee
When you think of a minister, what images come to mind? Perhaps certain faces, genders, races, or ages appear in your imagination. It's natural—our minds are shaped by the world around us. But what if we opened ourselves to new possibilities and expanded our vision of who our next minister could be?
Breaking Barriers, Building Beliefs is an exciting part of our congregation’s search process. In seeking the best match for our ministerial role, we might inadvertently overlook someone incredible due to unconscious bias. Please join us for this powerful workshop on October 26, 9:30am-3:30pm. It will be facilitated by an experienced leader to guide us through a thoughtful conversation about how we can recognize and temper bias in our search process. This will help us open our hearts to a broader vision of ministry and deepen our commitment to living our faith fully. You can learn more about the process, and register to attend here.

Can You Help?
Edith Helbert's mom will be having surgery on her foot on October 3, and will be wheelchair-bound for about 8 weeks.
They would love to borrow a temporary wheelchair ramp if anyone has one available. Edith thinks it would take a 7-foot ramp at the front door, or better yet a 10-foot ramp for the back door, which would be more convenient due to the house layout.
