Our mission: to be a sign of Christ’s love for the world.
Here are the ways we worship together.

How wonderful to worship together in our sanctuary!
Let us be mindful to the needs of those around us.

Out of love & safety for our youngest & most vulnerable, and due to the rise in Covid-19 cases,
ALL worshipers are to wear masks while in the sanctuary.

As Matthew 7:12 says, "Treat others as you would want to be treated."
Thank you for living in Christian love with one another!

Worship Schedule
10am in the Sanctuary or on Facebook Live.

This week’s scripture lesson is:
Titus 2: 11-14
Luke 2: 1-7

Armenia Mission Trip
Dilworth UMC has been invited to join a team from Myers Park UMC traveling to Armenia on a mission trip this July. Tentative dates are July 9-21. This mission opportunity will be an opportunity to expand our partnership with Project Agape and visit some of Christianity’s most ancient sites. Don’t let cost be a deterring factor, scholarships are available. Remaining spots are extremely limited, please reach out to Pastor Cade (cade.barefoot@dilworthchurch.org) to express interest and ask questions about this trip.
Love your neighbor through gifts of time, talents, and financial gifts.
GIVING TO HELP TORNADO VICTIMS through our church is one of the best ways to ensure that 100% of the money actually goes to relief efforts on the ground. Because our apportionment dollars in regular general church giving goes to help pay salaries and expenses for UMCOR staff (United Methodist Committee on Relief), special offerings such as this one are 100% given to help local relief. UMCOR is already in place and will be in KY and TN as long as necessary to help the communities devastated by the tornadoes. If you write a check to the church for this, please make a note on it "Tornado relief". Likewise, if you donate online for it through the church site, under OTHER please note "Tornado Relief". May we be Christ's love for those in need.
Refugee support
Calling all realtors, landlords, and property managers. Dilworth UMC, along with other houses of faith across Charlotte, is working to settle recent refugees, particularly from Afghanistan and Haiti, into more permanent housing. Any congregation members with connections to individuals or businesses that would be willing to work with refugee families who might not have background checks, social security, employment, etc. are invited to reach out to Pastor Cade (cade.barefoot@dilworthchurch.org) to offer assistance in finding housing for these vulnerable individuals.
Dear Dilworth Family,
As we all consider the numerous blessings in our lives and move into the season of Advent, may we remember the special blessing of our church staff. This committed and passionate team works to help guide and sustain us in our faith journey. I hope that you will consider expressing your appreciation with a contribution to our annual Dilworth Christmas Love Offering for staff.

Please make your donation by December 20th and earmark it as “Staff Love Offering.” You may contribute on the DUMC website, drop your gift by the church office, or place it in the offering plate. On behalf of Staff Parish, thank you for your consideration of this worthy request.

End of Year Giving
If you are looking for end of year giving please consider Dilworth Church, even if you have given throughout the year. When we choose to financially give through the church we share witness of Jesus Christ to the world. In gratitude for our abundance we say thank you to the One who made all things possible. If you wish for your generosity to be noted for this calendar tax year, please have it to the office no later than December 31st. May you have a blessed and joyous Christmas and New Year.

Visit our website to make your contributions online. You can also drop off your contributions at the church and use other means of giving.

Congrats to the Long Family and their "Castaway" tree!
They worked hard to create a thoughtful and fun tree. The scripture they tied in comes from Romans 11:1 "Has God cast away his people? Certainly not!"

They have chosen to donate their $500 to the Benjamin House ministry, which is the organization Ms. Ashton now works for.

The tree competition will be back next year - we hope you will consider joining in next year!
Room in the Inn
Sign up to help Dilworth this winter as we partner with Roof Above to host folks experiencing homelessness through Room in the Inn. Volunteers are needed to help our church show hospitality to those in our community who need it the most. To be a part of this ministry opportunity, search for a weekend (or two!) that you are available and sign up for the role listed that you would like to help in. Please reach out to Pastor Cade with any questions about this outreach opportunity.
