Dilworth UMC is excited to announce the revival of an old Dilworth tradition, weekly fellowship meals! All are welcome to join us on Wednesdays at 6 pm for an evening of food and fellowship. Our meal will be provided by our in-house catering partner Alternative Chef.

It is with a heavy heart that we share that our production scheduled for this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (May 12, 13, and 14) unfortunately must be postponed due to an outbreak of COVID within the cast and crew over the last 48 hours. We believe the safety and health of everyone involved, including the audience, must come first and for that we have made this very difficult decision. The cast and crew have been working day and night for you to “be our guest” and we certainly hope you will come at a later date to be determined by leaders of the Dilworth Players and Dilworth United Methodist Church.

Congratulations to Molly, Jeff, and Declan Hall, who have welcomed a baby boy into their family! Baby Hall was born on May 12th, 2022.

Jimmie W. Patton and his wife Barbara C. Patton were long-time members of Dilworth UMC. In1991, Mr. Patton confirmed plans to create a scholarship fund through his estate. The following year, he made the initial donation, establishing the J.W. Patton Educational Fund to support post-high school studies for members of the Dilworth church family. The first scholarships were awarded in 1992. Mr. Patton continued to fund scholarships for members of Dilworth church until his death in 1995. Following the death of Mrs. Patton in 2016, Dilworth church received a gift from Mr. Patton’s estate to endow the fund so that it could continue its mission. The J.W. Patton Educational Fund makes gifts based on merit and need for post-high-school education for members of the church or their families. Dilworth Church members are invited to apply for this gift by May 20th. To receive the application, email [email protected]

It is time to sign your child, grandchild, and their friends up for VBS this summer! This is a FREE ministry that we are excited to offer again after taking two years off. Space is limited, so sign up early to reserve your spot. VBS is happening July 10-14th, 5:30-8:00 pm each evening (dinner included). Kids ages 3 (potty-trained)-12 are invited.
