  • 2nd Annual WalkINN to Fight Hunger

The Interfaith Nutrition Network (INN) and the Office of Student Leadership and Activities present: 2nd Annual WalkINN to Fight Hunger on Saturday, April 9, 2011 in Outside C.V. Starr from 10 AM to 1 PM.

The Interfaith Nutrition Network (INN) started at Hofstra twenty-eight years ago when members of the Hofstra community saw a man on Long Island picking food out of a trash can. They decided then and there they needed to take action! Since 1983, The INN has expanded and created an extensive system of soup kitchens and homeless shelters all throughout the island. The WalkINN to Fight Hunger is an annual tradition that brings together the local community with the Hofstra community to raise money and awareness for The INN. Last year was a great success, we were able to raise over $4000 and this year we aim to raise even more!

There is no registration fee, but any monetary, food, paper product or clothing donation would be greatly appreciated. The walk is rain or shine, and is right on campus so you don't have to worry about transportation!

Register Today! E-mail: OSLA@hofstra.edu. If you are unable to attend the walk, drop off donations in 260 Student Center.
