The   October BOP Social   is  Saturday, October 12th  at 1PM.  Please note that this event is earlier than the usual time.  We will be meeting at Lolo Peak Brewery and run or walk along Hwy 93, Traveler's Rest State Park, and along Hwy 12. Click  HERE   for more information. 
 
Applications are now being accepted to fill Run Wild Missoula Board of Directors vacancies. Suzanne Elfstrom, Steve Brown and Bob Homer are coming to the end of their second three-year term. While their leadership has been outstanding, under our bylaws they must step away after six years of service.  This is a great opportunity for you to serve the Missoula running community and help us meet our mission of "Promoting and supporting running and walking for people of all ages and abilities". What's Coming Up
   
Beginner Running 101  is almost complete and you're about to run the Pumpkin Run 5k!  Are you asking yourself what's next? Sign up for  Beginner Running 102 ! This class begins on Sunday, October 26th We start with a distance of 3.5 miles and work up to 5 miles. Pace doesn't matter. The goal will be to complete the  Turkey Day 8k . Can you believe that Pumpkin Run is in less than two weeks! Join Run Wild Missoula on Saturday, October 19th for this low-cost, family-friendly event. The race proceeds will benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association and University of Montana energy and resource conservation projects. Come on out for a great run and fun Halloween celebration. Join Run Wild Missoula before you feast this Thanksgiving. There is still some time to register for Turkey Day 8k & 3k Family Fun Run before the price increases! Register before October 24th for the lowest prices. Remember that RWM Members now get $3 off registration prices! The 8k race is just $20 and the 3k Family Fun Run is FREE (registration required). Are you running the   Montana Cup Grab a ride with Run Wild Missoula on  Saturday, November 2nd We are happy to provide a low-cost bus to the race.  Ride with your teammates and show the rest of the state how proud we are to represent Missoula! Volunteers are needed! We are looking for people willing to lend a hand at the at Elk Ramble. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities available. More information about volunteering for Elk Ramble can be found HERE.
 
We are also in need of volunteers for the Turkey Day 8k and 3k Family Fun Run. We have volunteer opportunities available on Wednesday, November 27th and Thursday, November 28th. Click HERE to learn more about volunteering at Turkey Day

Save the date! Missoula Marathon Weekend Events registration opened last week! Did you sign up for any of our signature events yet?! The Missoula Marathon is $87, the Missoula Half Marathon is $77, and the Missoula 5k is $30 ($20 for Ages 14 & under). Don't forget about the Kids Marathon for just $10! Use your Member ID to receive your discount. Click HERE  to register. 

Registration for the Snow Joke Half Marathon is now open! Join us for a snow filled day of running! This is a great motivator to keep yourself accountable to your fitness during the chilly winter months. Please join us for this fun event on Saturday, February, 29th. Click HERE for more information. Out & About 
Race for the CureSaturday, October 12th This annual event raises funds for the breast cancer movement, thanks to supporters and survivors who step up and take action by fundraising for the cause. This event also tells the story of our impact, celebrates breast cancer survivorship and honors those we have lost to this disease.

Trick or Treat, Move Your FeetSaturday, October 19th , This event is organized by  Thompson Falls Community Trails (TFCT) exclusively with a purpose to enhance quality of life in the Thompson Falls area by building, maintaining, and improving trails that provide transportation ways, connectivity, and recreation opportunities for residents and visitors.  Proceeds benefit the maintenance and development of the Thompson Falls Trail System.

Skeleton Skedaddle, Sunday, October 27th, A fully accessible 
5k and 1k course on the University of Montana campus will take runners through autumn leaves. Costume contests and top finisher prizes will accompany post-race snacks. All proceeds benefit the UM Physical Therapy Student Association.
