Dear Fellow Servants of Jesus Christ,
Our first live streaming of our services was a huge success! I am proud of the way our staff worked tirelessly to provide a way for us to connect together for worship. Their efforts paid off. The feedback we received has been very positive. As of this writing, the services garnered 1,600 plus hits! What a blessing to be able to reach people through this medium! Please be sure to join us again this Sunday!
We may not be able to gather in person, but ministry is still happening. Our Children's Ministry Team has put some creative ideas into action. Last week, we put together over a hundred activity bags for children and their families to pick-up for our Drive Thru Kid's Mission Project.
As a part of these activities, families were encouraged to put together thank you cards to be returned to the church. These cards were then shared with various service industry workers that are working so hard during this time to restock shelves with vital necessities for our community. More mission projects are being planned for the near future. This week, the kids will be BLESSing their Neighbors through their mission project.
Our Wednesday night series on the Spiritual Disciplines has moved online. Both our adults and students are leveraging technology to engage in this study. Please be sure to access the Saxe Gotha YouTube channel for the latest studies and devotionals. Our students are gathering through a live stream on social media. Your small group or Sunday School class may want to follow their lead and do likewise.
As our congregation continues to minister during this challenging time, please remember to be faithful in your financial giving. You can give through our website, by text, through an automatic draft and mail. Please click here: https://saxegotha.org/give to contribute. Your generous contributions are needed for us to continue to reach people during this pandemic.
Prayer Focus for March:  Our pastors and church staff and officers.

Christian Love is extended to Peggy Wehunt on the death of her brother, Foster Henley, and Sharon Pair on the death of her brother, Chuck Hembree.

Babysitter List: If you have a need for a Babysitter, one that is Red Cross certified, please email Renee' Starnes in the church's office at  rstarnes@saxegotha.org for the names of babysitters that are part of the SGPC family.

Weekly Sermon and Scripture Schedule: To find the upcoming sermon topics and scriptures, please click here.

Sermons Available Online: To listen to past sermons, please go to saxegotha.org/media. To watch past sermons, please go to our Saxe Gotha YouTube Channel and make sure to subscribe.

Special Holy Week Announcement:

Following the recommendations of our government officials, we will continue to suspend in person worship through the end of April. We will be live streaming our Sunday worship services including our Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunrise services. We encourage our families to celebrate communion in their homes with us on Maundy Thursday. Families are asked to provide their own elements of bread and wine/grape juice and take communion will worshiping via our live stream service.

Let's proclaim the hope we have in Jesus during this unsettling time!

We invite you to join us for Online Worship Services:
(Onsite Service for March 29 in cancelled.)
We plan to live stream our 8:30 am Traditional Service and our 10:45 am AWE Contemporary Service. If you prefer to view the Traditional Service at 11:00, you can re-play the 8:30 service at that time.

To view the Saxe Gotha Services and other resources, please go to: https://www.youtube.com/user/SaxeGothaPres. Please note, that comments will not be enabled this week during the live stream as an additional safeguard.
During this time of high traffic on the internet, we recommend that you use your computer or your Smart TV, rather than your phone to stream Saxe Gotha's services and classes.  These devices should give you the best audio and video available at that time.
Daily Devotionals:
Welcome to our daily devotionals that your church staff will be offering. Our prayer is that you and your family will use these devotionals to enrich your family's spiritual life.  Perhaps these devotionals can be used as a conversation starter for your mealtimes together.
Our prayer is that you will look back on this crisis years from now and see that it was a turning point in your being the family God intended you to be - a family built on the foundation of Jesus Christ who loves each other as Christ loves you.
In case you have missed one of our daily devotionals, the video links to each devotional are included below.

DownPour is Streaming Live - Catch Us Live Tonight At 6:30 On Youtube Live and Facebook Live!

Ongoing Ministry, even during Social Distancing:
For March, nine members served ten cars in the rain this morning. One lady still had the cross in her car that we gave her last year when we prayed with her. We worked from the passenger side to keep a safe distance for everyone. While stopped at the light a law enforcement officer told us on his PA that he appreciates what we do.

This month will conclude our 2nd year of this rewarding experience.  Please join us.

To Volunteer, contact Loretta Gobbel at 319-4608 or Pete Eckert at 608-9835 or email  missions@saxegotha.org .

Saxe Gotha Kid's Mission Project - BLESS Your Neighbors:
Thank you to all who participated in last week's mission project. Join us this week in a BLESS Your Neighbors Project. Saxe Gotha will provide some craft supplies to spread the love of Jesus to your neighbors and your neighborhood. Please let us know you are coming by responding to the RSVP. We look forward to you dropping by between 10:00 am - 12:00 pm on Thursday, March 26 at the Saxe Gotha Child Development Center awning. See you then! You can contact Melinda Boyle with questions: mboyle@saxegotha.org.
South Sudan Ministry Report:

The response to our Change for South Sudan collection was incredibly heartening for those of us who work in this ministry on your behalf.  With attendance low because of the Coronavirus concerns, the response was expected to be less than we hoped for and needed.  However, the giving "online" was so great that we exceeded the goal of $3,500 and are happy to report that the total was $4,912.35.

Thank you for this outpouring of support.  With half of South Sudan's population still "food insecure" as defined by the United Nations, minimal health and sanitation requirements still unmet and minimal development, the needs continue.  We were unable to pay our school teachers in January, but this donation will alleviate that shortfall.  Thank you for your support.  Please keep the people of South Sudan in your prayers.  Pray that the newly installed government will lead to a just and lasting peace and that the leaders will put the people first.
Thank you,  Bill Andress

Current Sermon Series:
How healthy is our church?
What would Jesus say to Christians in America?
During the season of Lent, we will be studying the letters written to the seven churches in the Book of Revelation. These ancient churches existed in what is now known as modern Turkey. Jesus affirms the things they did well while condemning those things that demonstrated their compromise with the world. These letters serve as encouragement in our faithfulness to Christ as well as a warning in our unfaithfulness. While many people are reluctant to read the Book of Revelation, it promises to bless those who hear its message and take it to heart (Revelation 1:3). Please don't miss out on this blessing!

If You are Interested in Diving a Little Deeper:
