Dear Fellow Servants of Jesus Christ,
Our Annual Fish Fry will take place on Thursday evening, May 10 from 6-8 pm at Saluda Shoals Park! Tickets are only $10 - purchase at the door or online:  saxegotha.org/events.
We will be challenged by Patrick Tyndall who is the co-founder of Ironman Outdoors. Patrick is an avid outdoorsman who has served as missionary. Here are some "fun facts" about Patrick.
Favorite Outdoor Activity
Bow hunting
All-Outdoor Highlight
43 lb. catfish caught in 2.5 feet of water at Santee...by the time we got that monster in the boat even my shoe strings were tangled!
Worst Outdoor Adventure
A near-death experience at Santee with Andy Palm - 4 foot waves coming over the front of my 16 foot boat with stumps everywhere!
Favorite Hunting Technique
Early Deer Season sitting on a soybean field
Favorite Fishing Technique
Trolling with freelines and planer boards for Stripers
Favorite Scripture
"When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, there were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus." Acts 4:13
The food is going to be "off the hook" (no pun intended!) which is what you have come to expect from Saxe Gotha culinary experiences! As you know, we have tremendous cooks in our congregation!
Assuming you like fish, this meal is bound to be exceptional. And, if you don't like fish, there will be plenty of opportunities to build a huge calorie count with hush puppies, baked beans, French fries, fried pepper rings and coleslaw. Of course, this can be all washed down with ice cold sweet tea!
Don't miss this great evening at Saluda Shoals Park with your brothers in Christ!  Men of all ages are welcome!
Pastor Jim

Stephen Ministry  is our congregation's one-to-one care giving ministry. These connections are confidential and matched up by gender. God works through Stephen Ministers to plant a seed of hope and healing in a person whose life seems barren and forlorn because of crisis or tragedy.  What do Stephen Ministers do?  These individuals listen to people in need, explore feelings, pray, share Christ's love, maintain confidentiality, and attend to the care-giving process, while leaving the results to God.  Stephen Ministers have big hearts.  If you are feeling unloved or need a friend, contact  Carol Perrin  at (803)917-6690 , the referral coordinator. Please know that your identity and requests are kept confidential.
