From Our Pastor:

Dear Friends,

I hope your summers are off to a good start!

  • Last weekend, we announced that Deacon-elect Eric Davis will be assigned to our parish July 1, 2026. He will work with us alongside of Deacon Paul Muller. Along with his wife Amy and his family, please keep Eric in his prayers, particularly on June 20th, the day of his ordination.

  • The finance committee has been working on finalizing the budget for the upcoming fiscal year (which begins in July). It will be available soon. Alongside the ordinary budget, the committee will include the end costs of the current structural renovation of our building which took place during this fiscal year.

  • Be sure to buy your fireworks at the Knights of Columbus tent behind the Phillips 66/Temp Stop gas station off of Langsford. Our Knights will share the revenue of this tent this year alongside of the Knights from Holy Spirit. Buy the big ones!

  • I will be taking some vacation these days and hope to come back to you refreshed and glowing. Next weekend, Fr. George Knab, O.M.I, will be here. Fr. Knab is doing important work for the Church in South-Central Africa (Zambia). He is excited to join us!

In Christ,

Fr. Adam Haake

World Priest Day - June 12th

Prayer for Priests

Lord Jesus Christ, eternal High Priest, you offered yourself to the Father on the altar of the Cross and through the outpouring of the Holy Spirit gave your priestly people a share in your redeeming sacrifice. Hear our prayer for the sanctification of our priests. Grant that all who are ordained to the ministerial priesthood may be ever more conformed to you, the divine Master. May they preach the Gospel with a pure heart and clear conscience. Let them be shepherds according to your own Heart, single- minded in service to you and to the Church, and shining examples of a holy, simple, and joyful life. Through the prayers of the Blessed Virgin Mary, your Mother and ours, draw all priests and the flocks entrusted to their care to the fullness of eternal life where you live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Amen

Little Lambs Adoration

June 17th

Children’s Adoration Hour

St. Margaret’s

at 10:00 AM

Meet in the Holy Family Room for a brief reminder of how we behave in Adoration before spending some time face-to-face with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Stick around for popsicles and playground time after.

Adoration

We are truly blessed to have the opportunity for Eucharistic Adoration at St. Margaret’s every Wednesday, a sacred time to step away from the busyness of life and spend quiet, prayerful time with Our Lord.

Each Wednesday, the church is open for Adoration from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and everyone is warmly invited to participate. Even one hour in His presence can bring peace, clarity, and grace to your week.

If you are able to commit to an hour, we kindly ask you to sign up using the link below. Our goal is to have at least four adorers each hour, ensuring that Jesus is never left alone.

Signing up for the same hour each week is especially helpful and allows us to provide consistent coverage throughout the day.

Your commitment, whether weekly or occasional, makes a meaningful difference for our parish community.

To learn more about Eucharistic Adoration and to reserve an hour, please use the link below.

Are you interested in becoming Catholic?

Contact Andrew Lynch, St. Margaret’s new OCIA Director,

to learn more about the process of entering the Catholic

Church. Classes will begin in the fall, but registrations are

ongoing now. We’d love for you to join us!

Andrew would also love to hear from Catholic parishioners

who want to join in as an OCIA Team member or as a

sponsor. All are welcome!

St. Margaret's is now on the Hallow App

If you haven’t already, we invite you to join our parish on Hallow!

We’ll be forming small groups soon and kicking off our first prayer challenge next month. Don’t miss out on these opportunities to grow in faith and connect with our parish community.

Holy Spirit Summer Lunch Program

Summer is approaching, and for many children in our community—over 25% in the southwest LS area, Raymore, and Peculiar—it means the end of reliable school meals and the start of summer hunger. The Summer Lunch Program provides vital nourishment, but our need for support has never been greater. Please answer the call: soaring food costs means every dollar makes a difference, and every volunteer hour ensures a child receives a meal.

We could also use donation supplies. When you are at the grocery store, please pick up some sandwich, snack, or gallon size Ziploc or re-closable bags, boxes of individual chips, boxes of individual cookies, and/or  Kool-Aid Jammers. These can be dropped off in the parish office. Thank you for your support!

Retrouvaille - Kansas City

Restore Your Marriage and Rebuild a Loving Relationship

Retrouvaille is different than other marriage programs. Some spouses resist the idea of attending the program, out of concern that they will be required to expose their personal lives and their marital problems. None of this is true. In fact, the program is entirely unique, and most couples find that this is the very thing that worked when all else failed.

Register for the Upcoming Kansas City Weekend

July 19-21

Golden Wedding Anniversary Mass

The Golden Wedding Anniversary will be held on Sunday, September 13 for couples whose 50th Wedding Anniversary falls between January 1, 2026 and December 31, 2026. This event is open to couples and their immediate family.

The celebration will begin with Mass at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Kansas City at 11:00 AM followed by a reception in the new event space – Donnelly Hall.

You can go here to find the form to complete. You may fill out the form or have the couple do so. This form does not require a password.

Please complete the information below by August 26, 2026.

If a couple is unable to attend, but would like to be honored, please indicate this so that their gift and card can be mailed to them.
