Black Lives Matter Mural
Installation this Saturday
In June of 2020 Santa Cruz became the very first city in the work with the City government to not only approve a Black Lives Matter (BLM) mural, but also to build a sustainable plan surrounding this public art that includes continued annual Juneteenth events, community involvement, and ongoing mural maintenance.

Due to the overwhelming support, the MAH is no longer accepting volunteers, but visitors can watch at a safe distance and with masks.

Many of you have already seen our social media posts commemorating businesses that will not be returning Downtown because of the
impacts of COVID-19. While we encourage you to continue supporting your favorite Downtown Santa Cruz businesses and enjoying the many ways they've found to continue serving you safely,
please only come Downtown if you are feeling well, wearing
a mask and maintaining social distancing.
