Flood Insurance Information for Lenders, Insurance Agents, Business Owners, and Property Owners
With summer in full swing, you may not be thinking of the coming raining season and the potential for higher than normal rainfall that can cause flooding and property damage. However, anytime is a good time to learn if the commercial, industrial, or residential property in Anaheim that you own or rent is located in a flood zone. The City of Anaheim’s Planning and Building Department has information that can help you determine whether or not your property is in a flood zone, also known as a FEMA Special Flood Hazard Area.
To view a citywide flood zone map, obtain flood-related information, determine if your property has an Elevation or Floodproofing Certificate, or if you have other flood-related questions, please contact the Planning and Building Department, at (714) 765-5139 or visit www.anaheim.net/planning.

How to Defeat the Pandemic in the Workplace
Continuing to protect our workers and safely getting others back to the workplace is important for the health of the economy and the health and well-being of Anaheim.
As an employer, this is how you can help defeat the pandemic:
- Share information about where vaccines are available. Appointments are available at various times and locations throughout Orange County, seven days a week. Find a COVID-19 Vaccine Provider or call (714) 834-2000.
- Allow time off from work to obtain a vaccine. You may be eligible to claim tax credits equal to the wages paid for providing time off to employees to get vaccinated. Learn more about the U.S. Department of the Treasury Paid Leave Credit.
- Host a vaccine clinic. Mobile vaccination services are available for events of approximately 50 people or more. Don’t have 50 people. Coordinate with other local businesses to join in your event. Sign up today on Othena.com.

Message from Representative Young Kim regarding AB 5
From Representative Young Kim; “California voters passed Prop 22 to support our gig economy & push back on harmful policies from Assembly Bill 5 hurting workers & businesses. This ruling is disappointing, especially as Democrats in Congress push these same policies nationwide through the PRO Act. The PRO Act would bring to the national level disastrous policies from California’s AB5 that drove workers & businesses out of our state. From Uber and Lyft drivers to financial advisors to local artists, we should support workers' freedom and our gig economy. We must adapt to our evolving economy and allow for all Americans to have the opportunity to succeed. This shouldn’t be a Republican or Democrat issue. As we continue to be impacted by COVID-19, supporting our workers should be — and must be — an American issue.
Kim represents California’s 39th District and is a ranking member of the Small Business Subcommittee on Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Workforce Development.
