Orange County was removed from the state’s monitoring list last Sunday as public health officials successfully reported three consecutive days of data below the state’s monitoring thresholds.

Counties must be off the watch list for 14 consecutive days before sectors can reopenWith the easing of restrictions, new guidelines are expected this week from Newsom's office regarding reopening sectors, including shopping malls, gyms, restaurants and more.

Dr. Clayton Chau, Orange County’s Health Care Agency director and acting health officer, told the OC Register he was confident Orange County would keep off the watch list over the 14-day window.

AB 1436 - Proposed Restrictions on Owners to Collect Rent
A Job Killer
AB 1436, labeled as a “Job Killer” by California Chamber of Commerce, would force rental property owners to not collect rent for the entirety of the COVID-19 state of emergency or until April 1, 2021 (whichever comes first) and restricts owners from collecting unpaid rent for an additional 12 months after that. The bill offers no financial assistance to property owners or renters. This dangerous bill could result in foreclosures statewide and discourage new housing construction at the worst possible time. AB 1436 is heading to the Senate floor — contact your legislator and ask them to vote NO.

Flood Insurance Information for Lenders, Insurance Agents, Business Owners, and Property Owners
With summer in full swing, you may not be thinking of the coming raining season and the potential for higher than normal rainfall that can cause flooding and property damage. However, anytime is a good time to learn if the commercial, industrial, or residential property in Anaheim that you own or rent is located in a flood zone. The City of Anaheim’s Planning and Building Department has information that can help you determine whether or not your property is in a flood zone, also known as a FEMA Special Flood Hazard Area. Properties in a flood zone may be required to carry flood insurance.
