Join us as we welcome our featured keynote speaker, former Navy SEAL Chad Williams, a combat veteran who served our nation from 2004 to 2010. Now engaged in full-time ministry work, Chad is charismatic and insightful and uses the training and experience he gained as a SEAL to help others find God’s purpose for their lives. Chad will share his motivating testimony of military service and conversion.

Planning Commission Approves ocV!be,
95-acre Mixed-Use, Live Entertainment District
|
|
On Monday, August 29th, the ocV!BE project received approval from the Anaheim Planning Commission. ocV!BE is a $4 billion, sustainable, mixed-use, live entertainment district, 95 acres in size, anchored by Honda Center. ocV!BE is an endeavor of the Samueli Family, owners of the Anaheim Ducks.
The project will be completed in several phases between 2025 and 2035. It will include:
- One thousand five hundred apartments, of which at least 195 will be affordable units.
- More than 35 restaurants.
- Two hotels with a combined 550 rooms.
- 20 acres of parks and plazas, including a 5-acre riverfront park, a 5-acre “wellness” park, more than 3 miles of public trails and bridges, and access to the Santa Ana River Trail.
- 6 entertainment venues featuring 30,000 seats, including a 5,700-seat concert venue and 6,000-person capacity outdoor amphitheater.
The project will also include farmers' markets, a food hall, craft breweries, and rooftop bars.

Every year, together with the American Red Cross, Hale Glass hosts an annual blood drive to remember the 9/11 attacks. This is by far the most successful of their community service events! Join them Friday, September 9th, from 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM at 1910 Estelle Lane in Placentia.

The United Way has recently started recruiting volunteers to be part of their virtual Class of 2023 e-Mentoring program, where volunteers are matched up with a local High School student to help guide and encourage them through their final months as a senior before they graduate. They are looking for 250 mentors to match up to students by Nov 4th.
