Students who attend Orange County Innovation High School are taught individually in a one-on-one setting with a personalized track to graduation. Innovation High School focuses on providing a safe educational environment for students. It provides students the opportunity to earn a high school diploma while gaining valuable job skills and doing meaningful work in the community through its Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act exclusive partners.

County Executive Officer Frank Kim

Our Government Affairs Committee appreciated the candid discussion with Frank Kim, the second-longest serving CEO in County government history. Making his remarks and then taking questions from the audience, he covered a wide range of topics, including the County budget, homelessness, state mandates, street vendors, the OC Veterans Cemetery in Anaheim, and development projects in Anaheim and at the County. After a 29-year career at the County and 9 years as CEO, Frank is retiring, and we wish him the best!

California Election Day Is One Week Away

With the 2024 March Primary Election only a week away, early numbers are suggesting a historically low turnout. As of Saturday, only 7% of ballots have been returned. Turnout so far is highest among people over 65 at 15% and lowest among 18–34-year-olds at 2%.…Next month, the California Chamber of Commerce is presenting a webinar that guides employers through the rules surrounding the implementation and enforcement of a drug- and alcohol-free workplace policy, providing real-world, practical examples to help employers confidently and legally protect their workplace from drug and alcohol use.

Employer Coalition Releases Policy Solutions to

Strengthen Mental Health Care in United States

Today, Protecting Americans’ Coverage Together (PACT), a coalition of employer voices dedicated to strengthening the employer-sponsored insurance (ESI) system, released policy recommendations to strengthen and modernize mental health care in the United States. Employers have made significant progress responding to the mental health challenges faced by their workforce, but policymakers can take steps to break down obstacles to critical mental health services. This plan responds to the types of challenges that employers have consistently reported as necessary to take care of their employees.
