Vicente Sarmiento was elected to the position of 2nd District Orange County Supervisor in November 2022 to represent Santa Ana and portions of Anaheim, Garden Grove, Tustin and Orange. The Board oversees the management of the County government and its many special districts.

Summerhouse II will include 29 private apartment homes and 1 companion apartment home for residents who have a diagnosis of dementia. Summerhouse II is a secured neighborhood with a lovely dining room with a participatory kitchen, family room, a state-of-the-art sensory room, and family meeting spaces.
The renovation will also feature 7 Independent Living apartment homes, each with their own outdoor space and large, beautifully-appointed living spaces. The Independent Living portion of the project will feature a 12 seat purpose-built theater for all Walnut Village residents to enjoy.

U.S. Adds 517,000 New Jobs,
Lowest Unemployment in Half-Century

|
(CNBC) The U.S. Department of Labor issued the January 2023 jobs report on Friday, showing the country added 517,000 jobs, far above the expected estimate of 187,000. The unemployment rate fell to 3.4%, the lowest rate since May 1969; analysts had expected a 3.6% rate. The leisure and hospitality industry led the way, adding 128,000 jobs. Professional and business services added 82,000 jobs, the government added 75,000, health care added 58,000, retail added 30,000, and construction added 25,000. Average hourly wages increased by 0.3% for the month and 4.4% from the year prior.
